Forgot (Attn: I-751 petition to remove conditions of status)

Hello everyone, I sent my I-751 package on next day delievery yesterday and was received and signed today.

But after doing that, I realized I made a very dumb mistake of not addressing it properly. I wrote the address as instructed but forgot to put "Attn: I-751 petition to remove conditions of status".

I really can't phantom how dumb it is for me to forget and then remember next day, considering I've been preparing all these documents for about 2 months.

Please what should I do, I have a feeling they might send it back if they don't know what department it should go to. Should I call them to let them know it's for I-751 or what can I do ?

Still can't believe I forgot something that obvious and remembered a day after.

The address listed is the only thing that is required. USCIS is familiar with their own departments. The "Attn:..." is neither mandatory nor necessary. So as Happy Chic said, relax.

As the above two users have said, don't worry about it. As long as the actual application is included (completed and signed correctly) and the check for $590 is in it, they will send it to the right department to process it. Nothing to stress about.

They're not going to send back a package that has already been signed for unless you missed something else like sending the check. Relax, it's okay that you forgot.

Thanks Happy Chic.

Yes everything is included in the application. I can get annoyingly worried sometimes. Thanks for the response.

No worries... You are not alone in that regard :) I worry too much sometimes as well. I mailed in mine this week and it reached yesterday.

To help you stop worrying--

That ATTN line is something made up by Visa Journey. The USCIS has their own tips for filing found here https://www.uscis.gov/forms-filing-tips Notice it does not say to indicate what form on the outside of the envelope.

I was in such a rush to get the ROC package dropped off at USPS on my lunch break, that I forgot to include MY address on the outside of the box. As I shipped it 3-day priority, we spent the next three days worried that it would be rejected by USCIS. It wasn't. You'll be fine (and we didn't have the "Attn" line on ours either. Best of luck to you.
