You can actually put in a service request at 75 days for EAD. https://www.uscis.gov/forms/tip-sheet-employment-authorization-applications-pending-more-75-days

Do the service request over the phone or online today. Your EAD should be approved in a matter of a couple or a few days.

Don't count on it OP. I've personally been waiting since February 26th, sent in a service request 20 days ago to which I have yet to receive a reply, even talked to USCIS on the phone and I have yet to receive a single grain of useful information. This obviously doesn't mean that things will go the same for you, but it's definitely possible that things will take even longer.

The progression EAD's being worked for most all EAD's has stopped (at least significantly slowed) for the last several days it looks like to me. The dates in the stats area of the EAD's has went from April 6th back to April third or even first a couple of times now. If you look at individual cases there is a cutoff towards the end of March it seems where people towards the end continue to wait to get notification on theirs and of course that means most all of us after will be waiting longer as well. Today also marks the first day that the overall processing days has increased but its surprisingly on 1 day from 80 to 81. Something seems to be going on that is not helpful to any of us waiting....

After 75 days there is specific instructions on calling them and telling the rep that they are approaching regulatory timelines and request a task specifically for this to be put in. Probably have already done in case not at 75 days that's what I will be doing if there is no status update. Below is what is says exactly.

If your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, has been pending more than 75 days, you may contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283 and ask that an Approaching Regulatory Timeframe “service request” be created. The NCSC will route the service request to the appropriate office for review. Please have your receipt number ready when contacting the NCSC

Definitely call them! I was under the impression that you had to wait til 90 days, so I called on day 91. They did a service request and discovered I needed more information on the I-485 (AOS). They sent out a letter saying that, and a separate letter for the RFE the same day. I sent the information back June 6, and put in a service request yesterday (June 20), since there was still no update on the EAD. Two hours later, the status was updated to Approved.

Everytime we've called, they've been extremely nice and helpful and something has been done immediately on the case. We filed Feb 22.

I would call and ask to talk to a tier 2 before you put in a service request... I called to put a service request in for EAD but I wanted to talk to a tier 2 first to check up on my I-485... Turns out my background check is still pending after 3weeks and cause it's still pending they can't do anything with my cases... It needs to clear before they can process my EAD or look at me I-485 further which means I won't know I need a RFE or not until it clears... Cause it's pending puting in a service reuest is pointless for my situation cause even if it's assigned to an officer he can't do anything with t til it clears.... Point of my post is call talk to a tier 2 to see if it due to the background check before doing a service request cause if it's not cleared a service request is pointless
