Hi all! This is an old thread but would like to edit my timeline and add my process history but it gives me strange options that don't relate to my case like DS 261. ....I actually filled out DS 260 and also Received DS-261 / AOS Bill ? What is that I never got it. My process was so different. All it allows me to enter are dates, no descriptions like I see in other people's timelines

Thanks in advance

The security check gets transmitted through the computer and US agencies process it in the US. Your file doesn't get sent back to the US for a security check. I can tell you that certain agencies involved in the security check are severely backlogged right now due to understaffing, a new computer database and process that takes them many more hours to process just one check, and an overwhelming number of checks to do altogether. If you have a common name or if there's someone on the books with a similar-enough name to yours, the check will take a lot longer to do because it takes longer to determine whether you are that person or not. This is especially marked in Middle Eastern countries where you have millions of people named Mohamed Mohamed and it's nearly impossible to clear that check in those cases...hence it taking a year or more for them.

Hi! Sorry in advance for a not related question. How did you edit your timeline and make timeline story visible after your posts? All it allows me to edit is just to add dates to already listed descriptions. How did you do this:

"My Convoluted Story

Jun 2009 - Met on Facebook

Mar 2010 - Visited Morocco for the first time, got engaged

Dec 30, 2011 - Wedding in Morocco (5th visit)

I-130/CR-1 (first time around)

31 Aug 2012 - Priority Date (Vermont, transferred to NBC)

31 Dec 2012 - NOA2 (NO RFEs and the ONLY additional relationship evidence I sent was two affidavits...go figure)

27Jul 2013 - Broke up/Separation (while waiting for case complete at NVC)

20 Aug 2013 - I emailed AND mailed withdrawal letter to NVC

3 Dec 2013 - NVC scheduled interview date (January 27, 2014); I emailed Consulate in Casablanca to not interview case"

When you're logged into VJ on a computer, on the top right of the black bar across the top of the VJ page, click on your username (click on Lenchick), then choose "My Settings" from the list, then click on "Signature" in the list that will be on the left under Profile Settings.

You have to type everything there and it will show up under all of your posts. (I had to type my own timelines there.)

I hope that helps!
