Hello all, I had my interview today at the Accra embassy and it was okay...though I wasn't denied but consular officer said hes holding on to the visa because I have to provide recent IRS transcript from my fiancee and also present some more Skype and WhatsApp chat refords and photos of us at ceremonies like weddings, church and etc...my advice, be bold and don't show any sign of timidity, please let me know what you all think whether I'll get the visa or not.. I'm very hopeful because he was so assuring ..i go back in august

I had 10 pages of Skype video shots. Same as WhatsAppl

How recent was your IRS tax transcript? And how many visits has your fiancé made?

if that day i had gotten that consular we would have made it; thats the nice younger consulate who actually analyzes the case and does not carelessly deny. good luck. i hope we get him in July for our third interview.

We had 2014 and 2015 tax docs..but don't know exactly what to get now

Be careful with the photos, If the CO used the specific words of ceremonies/weddings, they may be trying to trick you into providing false photos, seeing as you are applying for a K-1 visa, and is only intended for unmarried couples. Was there a time during the interview where you used the words wife or husband by mistake?

Chris and Zhija, thanks for the reply but he didn't say to show pics of out wedding but pics of us attending a ceremony like a wedding or a party together, you know pics that shows we went out together

Reframe from using pictures that show you in a party or what might look like a wedding. Many have been declined when the CO wrongly interpret a engagement party as a wedding and declined the visa. It's hard to prove that it's not a wedding ceremony. You're better off showing photos of the two of you together with friends and family in a casual setting. Also photos of you on excursion's will help. Holding hands or kissing shows you in a bonding atmosphere.

I am very suspicious of CO's instruction unless you told him you two attended an event together.

I almost feel like this is a trap so be very careful.

Not many people attend day time event together with their gf or bf in Ghana other than church programs or business meeting if you two worked together.

Hi! My first gut feeling is that if they wanted to deny you they would have. No need to drag it out. I don't know how that embassy works but no embassy seems shy about giving flat out denials!

Try to stay positive, get you additional evidence together and I agree with the below statements regarding wedding pics. Send others that show you two together & happy.

They want recent tax transcripts ? But you said you did submit the most recent which is 2015 so why ask for them again ?

Did you submit copies of the taxes that were prepared or official transcripts from the IRS ?
I agree, the request for event photos sound like a set up for denial, make sure you print on the back of the photos who the
people are, where and what the event was, for example Mr and Mrs so and so at their wedding in xxxx on xxxx and include an invitation.

Preferably don't submit photos where you both wear the same traditional garments which is often misconstrued as a traditional wedding

or knocking.

There is a trap in there somewhere, my husbands first interview was with a nice lady with long brown hair, so she asked him when did we start chatting he told her 2011 and she wanted to see proof because I didn't include 2011 because it was only two months in that year we started chatting, if I had supplied that I believe he would be here, but his next interview was with KM and it went down hill with her, so just pray you get the same guy again, good luck
