Hi Everyone. Good day. I would like to ask if it is legal to work home based Online (blogging) while waiting for Employment Authorization Document? Thanks in advance for your response. Highly appreciate it!

Nope. You're not allowed to do any sort of work at all until you get that Authorization. So don't do it.

This is the one of the toughest time for any alien in this country. waiting for EAD. especially when the person is a professional. i have and i am sure everyone who eagerly want to work and contribute to the family goes through this phase. i hope you will get the authorization to work quickly and to answer your question like many here have. you can't work until you are authorized by DHS/USCIS. you can volunteer though.

Hi almost_umrican. Thanks! Yes, but its the law. I will follow then. I can submit EAD together with AOS so no extra fee :)

Two good news for you.

1) EAD is usually approved under 3 months like in 2 months in most cases (refer to the timelines)

2) If same is the case for you i can almost bet you, by the time you will get the authorization, you will be getting a call for the AOS interview within a couple of months. (if AOS is what you are doing and considering no RFE's)

3) Good luck, network up with your local community and local job agencies. it is sometimes hard to land the first job in the US (could be geographical and person's skill set)

Can i make and sell jewellery while waiting for response to my application.

Make yes, sell no. Not until EAD.

You can make them yes. But you can't sell them. That would be working and you're not authorized to do so.
