Hi, need to ask an important question. Even if you admit you tried marijuana 9 years ago (20 years old back then was in college), is there a chance that I can still get my 1R-2 visa approved during the interview?


I was scheduled to see a psychiatrist before my visa interview.

Be honest they can and probrably will question you, they may ask you to submit to chemical analizes if they are concernd...

Hair folicle strand test can show marijuana for months... (Not sure what method they can use)

Could send you to councel you will only know how they proceed at the interview...

Yes it is possible. Most likely you will be defered for a year and randomly drug tested.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
