Hi Everyone,

I found on another website that you can track packages sent by NVC (from Portsmouth,NH) to consulate by using its reference number I-730 on DHL.com (http://track.dhl-usa.com/trackbyref.asp?nav=trackref). Although you cannot track specific K1 case, but the search results look like if you know when your case left NVC you can see what package has left NVC and when it has been delivered.

I'm not sure how accurate it is or if there is a better way to track when your K1 case is received by the consulate. NVC told me that my K1 case was sent to the Guangzhou consulate on March 6th 2007, but I could not find any packages sent by NVC to Guangzhou on any day in March. So if any of you know how to track package sent by NVC to Consulate (besides calling that particular consulate), please do share.

Thanks.

Since you mention Guangzhou, you will want to join A Candle for Love, that site is specific to dealing with that consulate. I highly recommend CFL for advice on how to prepare for the interview.

Also, DHL will show it delivered about a week after it leaves NVC, but D.O.S. and Guangzhou won't show it being received until at least 3-4 months later, they just put the cases in storage, and dont show receiving until they are ready to process the case.

Why is Guangzhou so slow? I see visa's approved from 1 month to 6 months with other countries. I have been to the Guangzhou consulate to get my marriage approval letter in August. I do not understand what the delay is. Any idea?
