Anyone interviewed June 2016 and sent to AP?

My husband had his interview June 9th. All went well. No difficult questions. He had all of our paperwork and could even see that the CO had the NVC paperwork with an APPROVED stamp. Also present the entire time was an unidentifiable white form.

After the usual questions, the CO asked how much we talk. Before my husband could respond and show him our phone/chat records, he said "never mind", handed him that now well-known form: a white 221(g) with only the AP box checked. The CO said to inquire if we don't hear from them in 6o days and kept my husband's passport, medical exam files (cleared by dr so not the issue) and other previously-filed documentation. He did NOT say we were approved. Instead, he said this wasn't a denial but the case requires additional processing, no further docs required.

I've been reading the forums every day since and some people have been waiting months, others are approved in a matter of days or weeks. It all seems so random.

I'm curious if anyone else interviewed that day - or recently - and faced something similar. I'd also like to hear your stories if this experience sounds familiar to your own.

Please help...Hating this black hole but desperately hoping for the best.

Hi Jwa2016 - My Fiancé had her interview on May 31st and on the interview she was told she was approved and would receive her passport in 10 days.. K1 visa... Then the case creation date changed on 31st and status update to "Ready" on CEAC on same date. Then nothing no news until day before yesterday it went to AP.... Not really sure why.. I agree with you this is a black hole and makes you feel helpless... But we need to stay positive and stay strong... You know GOD will help us... Let pray for each other because that is what we need to help us guide through this tough times...

Hi. i was interview on 1st June. my interview went well and the Officer smiled and told me he doesn't see any problem and he is approving it.

He took my passport and kept it and Said " I AM APPROVING THIS BUT WE NEED 2 MORE MONTHS TO ISSUE YOU THE VISA. YOU WILL GET YOUR PASSPORT IN JULY. IF YOU FONT GET YOUR PASSPORT IN JULY YOU CAN CONTACT THE EMBASSY".

I asked him if i am done and can i leave? and he responded Yes everything is good and you can leave.

i checked my Status on the CEAC website and the status shows as ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING.

The last update was of 9th June and that was also because i emailed the embassy.

Has anyone been given any time and didn't receive his Passport?

same here .. after interview they don,t tell me your approve or not they told me we will let to know you ...one year complete still AP

In my fiancé case - CO actually said you are approved and will receive your Passport in 10 days .. interview was on 31st... Now on June 13th it went to AP and still in AP...

Reading all this is making me nervous!! I am waiting on an interview date, but suspect it will be sometime in July or August. (Papers all filled,

just waiting for a date to be set as all corrections ( 1 ) have been returned ( 3 weeks ago ).

I need to travel from Canada ( were I am living ), but I need to travel into the USA at the end of August. How can I do this if they are holding my passport ???

yeah ,, my fiancee sent email many times got standard reply from the embassy .. we also involve congress man embassy did standard reply from the embassy in AP there is nothing to do just waiting waiting
