Even though the number I posted is a Virginia number, it is the USEM's call center for US callers/petitioners.

AP is normal. Relax. More patience is needed. You could see your file in and out of AP or you'll see the date change as people touch your record as it's getting prepared for shipping.

I'm sorry I should have explain more / better.... Wasn't thinking!

They did not say she was approved and are requiring her to re submit her Cenormar and NBI Clearance.

Her name was miss spelled on her birth cert. when she was born (both first and last). Later as an adult she had it corrected.

The CO said she has to re submit both using the miss spelled name.... Really???

Every document must match. Fix one, then you have to fix all.

Thanks for the update! That's why I haven't changed my last name to my husband's yet because I don't want to complicate things.

Look at it this way, better to get AP now than an AP on your original date. I hope everything gets easier, a little but more struggle until VISA ON HAND! :dancing:

Don't know of any benefit to not changing to your married name for the I-130 petition and visa process.

Not changing everything to your married name WILL complicate things. You will still have to get your NBI in your maiden and married name.

Your visa will be in your maiden name.

Later - your green card will be in your maiden name, not your married name.
