Unless you are sure she did this deliberately to hurt you....I would think again about your original statement of "I have no mother".....or just address the real problem with your mother.....

What a crazy weird thing to do! I'm really sad to hear this, Joel. I know how much you loved that kitty. Wish I could give you a hug.

We have a cat here at our house. She hates me and I hate her. But she's still here because she belongs to my son. When we move I will cart her hateful butt across town and I will continue to feed her after Zach goes off to university.

I personally could care less if I never saw her evil face again. But she's Zach's cat. So end of story.

*PS - BTW I prefer dogs to cats but I'm not a cat hater. This one is just a ######.*

My mother put my cat down yesterday. The reason? She was allergic, badly. She didn't try to give her away or try to keep her outside (like she is between spring and fall). She just put her down. She was 12 years old, not ancient. I should have brought her with me. I don't want to see my mother anymore. This cat had gone through so much with me and didn't give a damn what I was like at any given moment, she just loved me.

I definitely support your mums action for putting the cat dow.Trust me,if I am in her shoes,I will just do the same.My wifes cat here really gets on my nerves too.I cant believe that sometimes he will jump unto our bed some nights to share the bed with me and my wife.To worsen situation,My wife supports that.The cat disgusts me!!!!

You know...you are a perfect example of why I am no longer married to my friggin ex - he is just like you. You do not seem to have any respect for your wife and it seems that all you care about is you and your comfort. You knew she has this cat when you met her, petitioned for her, and married her so why are you griping now??? Personally I feel you have no right whatsoever to take this kind of action. My husband's mom did NOT have the right to do what she did. She was NOT allergic to Zoe before Joel left NS to move here.
