That's what we're afraid of.  We're about 5months running.  I guess 5more months to go.

It was a little over 5 months for us .. back in the day.   They a year or so back they were processing through in about 90 days ... that sure spoiled a bunch of people.. not enough time to learn drinking songs.

Hey guys! I need help. How long Before I can work in the US after I get married?

Can't work until you get either you EAD (I-765) or your green card.  The EAD (free to file with  AOS) can take 2-4 months on average AFTER you file for AOS after you are married.

Thats a long time. :( my current company will hire me when I get to Hawaii but I'm not sure if they will be amenable to 4 months.

If they are based outside of US they can hire you before you file for EAD or even come to  the USA and you can work.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

If they hire her through the Philippines, make payment to her in the Philippines (bank account there), I can see that happening, after all she is a citizen of the Philippines temporarily in the USA on a visa (until AOS is completed) ..

What she can't do is work IN the USA and receive payment IN the USA.

That's a grey area.

If person is getting paid from a company based outside of the USA, they can work while in the USA.  Receiving payment would be another topic for debate, but if it me,  I would have a bank account set up outside of USA to receive check,  and then transfer fund to a US bank account.

How long will the green card process be? Will it be shorter?

Unlikely

Processing time for the green card has jumped from about 4-6 months to closer to 10-12 months.

So what are they doing now?

Issuing a EAD/AP combo card while waiting for GC production?

Slip of paper for EAD/AP?
