What can i do while waiting for EAD

Hi everybody, i came on k1 visa and iam waiting for my work permit. I want to ask people here about what i can in this free time i have to help myself find a job or start school later. I have a bachelor degree in electrical engineering with zero experience, i worked in Italy like a waiter in some restaurants and pizzeria. i want some people who can give me some advices of what i can do in this next two months before my EAD is ready. Thank you in advance

Hey did you find something to do ?? I came with a K-1 too,my SS says Valid to work with DHS authorization,i am not sure I can work as I wait to file aos

You can not work. You can only work if you have DHS authorization. A K-1 does not come with DHS work authorization. When you apply for AOS, you can apply for a free EAD, Employment Authorization Document. With the EAD, you will have DHS work authorization to work.

Volunteer, go out and get to know your new country, hobbies, exercise, and professional networking are some of the things you can do while waiting for your EAD.
