Hello Forum members,

My wife just received her Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) and was wondering what our next steps should be, if any. Do we need to inform the SSN office to get an updated SSN? Do we need to get the SSN updated to not having the 'For Work after DHS Authorization Only' (or something along those lines).

Please help so I know I go in the right direction, or if we should just wait for the 2 year to get the conditional status adjusted?

Thank you

Yes, you can go to the SSA and turn in another application and show them your green card to update your status. They will send a new card(same number) with that annotation removed.
