I have seen so many contradictory examples on here and elsewhere online...

If I am filing concurrently, do I

  • File with one cover letter, for both I-485 and I-130
  • File with an overall cover letter, an I-485 cover letter, and an I-130 cover letter
  • File one cover letter for I-485, one for I-130

And if I use an overall cover letter, or only one cover letter, how should the packets be arranged? Does that one cover letter go on one packet or should it be one huge packet, all together on one set of acco fasteners?

Cover letters are optional. You do it as best suits you.

I did a general one listing everything, and separate ones for each different petition

The papers should be arranged as it is stated on the cover letter.

One packet with everything you're submitting. Use paper clips, easier to disassemble.

Good luck.

That's very helpful, thank you!
