It won't be long. We had over 170 already this year. That works out to more than one a day.

Clearly, we need more firearms to put an end to it. And more divisive and hateful rhetoric. That always helps.

We do! More hate, more division, More firearms! I am voting tanks and rocket launchers into my neighborhood!

There were 98 mass shooting before this shooting. Keep'em coming baby! Tally, tally, tally!

Well, I personally think all religion is bad. And I think Islam is inherently oppressive of women. But I don't believe that mainstream Islam promotes violence. But this guy was clearly a radicalized Islamist that committed a by the definition hate crime against homosexuals. Maybe it came from an internal identity struggle, maybe not. Either way, in his mind, Islam justified his actions. And there are people producing literature online which he read to come to these conclusions. People writing about what they think Islam should be.

Religion has proven time and time to be way more dangerous than guns.

Islamic countries are ones that have women heads of states. Also in countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia and such women have the same rights as men. Turkey has more heads of state that are women than anywhere else:

There are a few places where it's not like that for Muslim women, but once again, the most extreme versions are what's used to represent what people think Islam is all about. Even more so, folks who are scholars/members of Islam always get into shouting matches with people who aren't familiar with Muslims outside of 9-11 and anything other than positive situations. When I studied it, I had no inclinations to oppress any women, nor did I want to go killing folks. So to say it's inherently oppressive is false.

"Oppressive language does more than represent violence; it is violence; does more than represent the limits of knowledge; it limits knowledge." -Toni Morrison

He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it.

Qatar, Dubai could be considered as progressive muslim countries, yet they are still backwards in their laws toward women.

And here is Malaysia news, asking non-muslims to obey their 'laws'

http://www.themalaymailonline.com/malaysia/article/cover-up-during-ramadan-kelantan-mufti-tells-non-muslims

Datuk Mohamad Shukri Mohamad explained that while non-Muslims have the freedom to dress however they liked, they should be “considerate” and dress appropriately to prevent Muslims from forfeiting their fast.

“They (non-Muslims) should respect Muslims and dress appropriately.

“It is not wrong for them to dress how they like but they must be considerate because when Muslims, particularly men, bump into them at public places, it is considered haram,” he was quoted as saying to local daily New Straits Times.

He also urged non-Muslims to refrain from “eating or drinking in front of Muslims during the fasting month.”

Additionally, he said Muslim women specifically should also “dress appropriately” as well as to watch their behaviour and language.

Ok. I'm out of this discussion. Everyone wants their right to be racist, every one wants their right to say & preach hate filled things and every one wants their guns. MURICA!

I'll see you all in the next mass shooting thread.

It is tiring. Hearing all these Muddy Ditch Liberals spouting off about weapons they know nothing about. Defending barbaric religious practices that oppress women, gays and Minorities.

Never ending and tiring
