Completed DS-260 application.. What now?

I got accepted in the 2017 Diversity Visa Lottery program and I completed the DS-260 application on 18 May 2016. I didn't receive any email from Kentucky Consular Center yet to Inform me that my application is being reviewed. also I only submitted the application and I wasn't asked to include any Civil documents along.

I have two questions.

1. how long does The KCC usually take to review DS-260 application after being submitted?

2. is it normal that I wasn't asked to include any Civil documents?

You won't hear anything more from KCC until about 6-8 weeks before your interview is scheduled. (They don't notify you when their processing is complete.) The order of interviews depends on your case number. For low case numbers with October 2016 interviews, you'll get the details of the interview from KCC around mid-late August. Some people with September 2017 interviews won't get anything from KCC till July next year.

Yes, it's normal that you weren't asked to submit documents, in fact it's clearly stated in the instructions for selectees linked from your selection letter that documents are to be taken to interview and not sent to KCC. ( KCC are admin not adjudicators; the case merits and decision are decided by consular officer at interview after evaluating your documents.)
