I don't know how long have you two been married and living together. But anything on CR1 that is less than a year of living under the same roof is a kind of a red flag. Age gap is another red flag. The more red flags, the more scrutiny to expect.

I have been in AP for over 12 months now and it's a K-1. So, all I can say be very very very patient, or you'll feel worse and worse in time.

On a lighter note, can you ask your friend about when did his friends apply for the petition? or when were they approved by USCIS? or when did they have their interview? what kinds of cases? etc. This can make a difference, but I'll tell you how after you answer those questions.

I know his friend just had his interview last month in November was put on AP for a few weeks then just got approved a couple days ago.

Can someone please tell me what MInor Bainouna means. Thank you

A minor Bainouna in Islam is essentially if the husband divorces his wife for the first or second time, and a certain amount of time has passed called 'idda (3 complete menstrual cycles; that is, she gets menses, purifies gets another and purifies, and gets another then purifies; or if she's pregnant, then until she gives birth no matter how long or short that is) during which the husband did NOT take/go back to his wife. In this case, it is called a Minor Bainona. It is also called the same, if the case is that the wife was divorced by an Islamic judge, even if the 'idda didn't pass, and this is almost rare. In both cases, if the 'idda has passed, then both have to remarry on a new contract and with a new mahr (dowry).

A major bainona is if the husband divorced his wife 3 times, in which case he CANNOT take/go back to his wife unless she is married another man and, legitimately, divorced.

And Allah knows best.

I forgot to mention that the divorce here is in the context of a marriage that has already been consummated. If the marriage was not consummated and there was no alone time between the couples (kulwa), then there isn't an 'idda.

Also, in case the woman does not menstruates due to age, young or old alike, her 'idda is full 3 Hijri months.

And Allah knows best.

Administrative Processing is such a nightmare. My husband has been on AP for 5 months now. I had got the Senator to contact the Embassy and nothing, they just send him the same email they send me.I have called NVC also to get info and the person I talked to said that the notes said that someone (me) got a hold of a senator but no other notes. I just feel like packing my stuff and moving to Egypt . I miss my husband so much and I don't want another year to go by without him. I talked to a friend here in the US that got approved in May and got his visa and he told me that alot of his friends have got a visa just this year from Egypt and they are here in the US..And it seems like the same consular that interviewed him and his friends all got approved to get visas and they are all here in the US... I find that very odd and very disappointing.

Same problem I’m tired to send a message in Cario and they reply me same massage all the time I talk to NVC they told me Administrator processing took 60 days but 60 days passed no news ... it’s holiday very hard far from your husband ... I just talk to emagration lower I explain what happining and I have to go see him after holiday ....if any one know if u sick u can send a doctore paper to Cairo ambasy ???

I'm very sorry to hear that, I really feel your pain and your struggle, more than you can imagine. It hurts the most when you feel vulnerable, especially if your loved one is away and cannot be with you, yet, to help you ease your pain.

All I can tell you is that the effort you put in to be patient now, will pay off later.

Stay strong and get well.
