No, they don't. However, Cairo has ustraveldocs.com support team who are incompetent to say the least and are nothing like the NVC. With NVC, you can actually know details on the case. The support team is just going to tell you visit CEAC website. NVC has supervisors who have more access to case details than anyone else, almost better than USCIS.

Thank u all information I call NVC they told me your case in Egypt embacy they do administrative processing every 2 weeks I send them email they reply me same email ...

Hello Everyone,

when some one has been asked to submit a mew medical exam and the passport after being on AP for a while, is that a good sign?

Thank you.

I want to say yes, but I cannot. Since it happened to most of us after 4 months (~120 days of AP). Your medical is valid for 6 months, but when they approve issuing the visa initially (after the 4 months) they assume it's better ask you to do it here before traveling (which also gives you the 2nd dose of a vaccination instead of in the U.S).

It's not wrong to hope it is, but I would hate that you put your hopes up now and be disappointed later.

Let us know if you hear anything good though :)

I understand it happened to you but we are way passed 120 days. when I spoke to the NVC supervisor couple of weeks ago she said the notes shows they are done with the AP.

I understand, but take in mind that 120 days is just initial AP, during which they decide whether they can deny the case on any legal basis or not (imagine how many cases there are). Then there's the extreme vetting, additional time for background checks.

I'm not the only one, btw. But for us, it's been over a year since the interview date and last document submission. It's a nightmare.

Personally I don't know anything about a B1/ B2 Visa.. however we have a CR1 visa and we've been in AP and they've had my husband's passport for 18 months now.  AP is a nightmare for most of us.  Inshaa Allah you will have a much more positive/ faster outcome. please keep us posted!!

Administrative Processing is such a nightmare. My husband has been on AP for 5 months now. I had got the Senator to contact the Embassy and nothing, they just send him the same email they send me.I have called NVC also to get info and the person I talked to said that the notes said that someone (me) got a hold of a senator but no other notes. I just feel like packing my stuff and moving to Egypt . I miss my husband so much and I don't want another year to go by without him. I talked to a friend here in the US that got approved in May and got his visa and he told me that alot of his friends have got a visa just this year from Egypt and they are here in the US..And it seems like the same consular that interviewed him and his friends all got approved to get visas and they are all here in the US... I find that very odd and very disappointing.

I don't know how long have you two been married and living together. But anything on CR1 that is less than a year of living under the same roof is a kind of a red flag. Age gap is another red flag. The more red flags, the more scrutiny to expect.

I have been in AP for over 12 months now and it's a K-1. So, all I can say be very very very patient, or you'll feel worse and worse in time.

On a lighter note, can you ask your friend about when did his friends apply for the petition? or when were they approved by USCIS? or when did they have their interview? what kinds of cases? etc. This can make a difference, but I'll tell you how after you answer those questions.
