For all who still in AP, I understand how it feels, tearing , depressing, frustrating to be in AP and you don't know why because the Call Center or even the embassy emails are the same no info just wait, Just stick to your loved once and pray and be patient the relief will comes very soon, I'm sorry I can't answer all your question recently I'm very busy. But I will always try to answer all your questions.

Officially over the 12 months on a K1 visa's AP - since the day of interview. And almost 2 years since filing. Alhamdulilah for everything.

No updates at all, same email responses, same congressman's response. We're moving on with our lives. I suggest everyone do the same, and make the effort to be together.

Tip: Religious marriage on a K1 visa is allowed, as long as there is no legal paper trail/registration, according to u.s immigration laws and a USCIS officer.

I completely agree. We withdrew our K1 visa and are getting married soon in Egypt and will apply for the spouse visa at a later time. The amount of relief of having control over our own lives again has been so comforting.

And as I also advised you before, never apply for a CR1 unless you actually live together for a good period of time as a married couple, say 6 months AT LEAST. Otherwise, I totally fear that your case will simply be thrown into AP, or even denied on the spot.

Just because you're married doesn't mean the CO will believe you. In fact, he's more likely to be in doubt if the couple had already applied for a K1, canceled it, married and reapplied, all within a very short period and without enough face to face time together as a couple.

Just saying, but I truly wish you'd never be denied, let alone go on AP.

 

Nonetheless, if there's a pregnancy during the first few months of your marriage, before you apply, that's a big big proof for your bona-fide relationship. No rush though

Nothing on my end, but the reason for AP is well known to most of us: They don't want you in the states for the longest time possible. They also want it to "look" as hard as possible to gain entry to the states. So, go figure

Who is CR1 marriage visa here and how long have u been on AP? 

I noticed the majority are fiancee visa.

We are CR1 and my husband has been on AP since his interview on July 6,2017
