Sure they can stop to ask questions and search your belongings, electronics included. I've read they can even copy entire hard drives if you pull the whole "my laptop/phone is dead" excuse. We went through Atlanta last night. Didn't get searched or anything.

Hopefully it will be soon Inshlaah. Until mid September they should call me to renew the medical, otherwise be issued nshalah. They don't answer any emails any more. We send them asking for updates but then we started just asking for the medical. They don't answer at ALL. If they don't call me to renew the medical, then it's not a good sign.

in sha Allah khier

After traveling more than 40 hours, we landed in my city last night around 10 pm! Everything was super easy at the airport.

Praying you all can be with your loved ones ASAP!

welcome home and thank you for your kind words.

thank you for your prayer.

Hey Davy,

During your fiancé's interview, did the CO tell you guys you were approved or if they needed more information?

The CO asked for some education documents, we said that we don't have them because we have no idea they are required. The CO then asked us to bring those documents, she kept my passport, she gave me a brochure about immigrants rights in the US, also she gave me a white paper stating that I need to bring additional documents, she asked us to use that paper to drop the documents when we come back. No AP paper was given or Return to USCIS or any other thing. We dropped the documents later that week and were put under AP. Emails from the consulate always say that the case is under AP and no further documents are required. It's been 5 month now, last date change was July 20th, no further communication from the consulate since June 16th. Passport is still at the consulate. Medical should be renewed before 16th September, we hope to be issued before it expires, otherwise be contacted to renew it, that will be a good sign. The terrible sign is if they never contact to renew the medical after it expired.

I heared lot of cases about the return to USCIS after AP, but seem recently they started giving a paper during the interview labeled Return To USCIS in addition to a 221g. None of those were given to us, and the passport was kept since the interview, which gives us some hope.

Hey Davy,

During your fiancé's interview, did the CO tell you guys you were approved or if they needed more information?

Someone I know got her K1 interview and was told by the CO that she needs more information, the CO verbally told her that she will be put under AP for 90 days, she was issued a 221g and no passport was kept. After 73 exactly they called her to drop her passport for stamping.

She does not speak English at all, and both the couple are Moroccans.

I try to understand how the consulates work but it's very mysterious. Every case is different but we hope for good news.

You think US Embassy in Abu dhabi will tell me to come as a person for Visa Issuance? I think that when the time will come (hope so soon) they request my passport for visa stamp and I shall post my passport via DHL to EMPOST So the Empost guys should take my passport to the embassy, and I think after that, they will post my passport to my home! Am I right or wrong? if this happened then I will travel from my country to USA....

But really I am not sure maybe they'll tell me to go to embassy personally, if this happen, then I will go to USA from Abu dhabi, I guess.
