I contacted them last Thursday and got same replay from them.

I really don't know why it takes too long.

I have no idea why the wait is so long!

If you wrote them recently then I'd just wait some more. Try not to stress yourself out too much.

They will be finishing your case soon God willing!

Ahmed, I encourage u to hold on just a little. u will get issued very soon..

I feel i'm losing my patient because it's killing me not being with my wife and kids and under this process two years and don't know what they are doing no new no update and no one is telling anything to us anything. What I all need to be with my wife and grow old with our kids between us not like that. it's not too much.

I'm a social worker and also have a general diploma in education and know how to handle the stress and frustration but to be honest with you no one can handle being far away from his family 18 months and watch our kids growing without me and see my wife needs me and I can't do something except watching and this is killing me and make me not feeling well and who cares??

I'm trying my best really but I can't handle it all the time.

thank you for your support sister.

We picked up the visa and passport from the embassy today.

They called to tell us to come and get it so we can leave before the medical expires.

I hope everyone is issued soon and with the ones they love.

You are next! I hope and I pray.

Kamal It will expire in 3 weeks. We booked the flight today. We are flying in 10 days.

I still can't believe it.

By the way my emails to the embassy were important to get the visa to us before the medical expires. They were going to make us wait a week to get the visa delivered.

Everyone please be careful about your dates. The embassy was not paying attention and that would have been very bad for us.

My best to everyone!

Congratulations to all who received their visa.

@Halalbrother, thank you for the support, we will get there soon.

I am exactly like the couple who recently got issued in Cairo under K1. Someone who's father works at the consulate in Tokyo informed me that K1 cases are extremely difficult, and when the CO keeps your passport, it is automatically AP under the Background checks category, which takes a long time because they check names, records, background, flags, databases, Interpol, consulate databases, and travel checks. He also said that when the passport is not kept, it is usually a decision hesitation by the CO. Background checks take from 3 months to 2 years, they are held by an agency in New York not Washington. The checks done in Washington are terrorism related.

I will explain further from what I was explained:

Taking your passport and keeping in the consulate has a big meaning for people who say it doesn't. The consulate basically is trying to keep you inside the country and not allow you to travel, the checks will be done, but if you travel, that basically means more check should be done and so on. This is true because let's take my case as an example, I was in AP and then I requested to pick up my passport from the consulate because I was traveling, I needed an approval to pick it up, I was also requested to drop it back again when I come come, and I was also asked how many days I will be traveling and where and why. Once I came back and dropped my passport at the consulate, I was kept for 2 hours until they decided if I need to be interviewed again or not, eventually no interview was needed.

I am sure my travel plan is playing a role in delaying my AP, because my case is very different, I already lived with my fiancé in the US and met her family thousands of times. My delay could only be explained by my sudden travel plan in the middle of an AP. They could have simply gave me my passport and never ask for it, but I was clearly verbally instructed to drop it back once I come back to the country, and indeed they took my passport again.

In a nutshell, AP cases for K1 are very diverse, strict and difficult, K1 couple are probably the most people who suffer right now, because a K1 is very hard to get, but our only hope is our passport that is still at the consulate, gives you some hope.

Let's keep fingers crossed ?? my last update was July 20th, nothing since then.
