do u think they care about us! They are celebrating the holiday weekend with their loved one, while we re working our butt off just to pay bills.

So true bookman!

We'll all get to enjoy the holidays more once we are connected with our loved ones.

In the mean time, we wait!...

Bookman,

I know it's our month and I wish they are not going to take more because five months will be really enough for this step and I hope to hear something good soon in sha Allah.

They said on ustraveldocs.com most of the AP resolved with 60 days after interview but the embassy said most of the AP after interview resolved in five months and some taking more depend on the case,so this month will be my five month and I hope they will tell me a good news.

About they are not working on our case, this is not right they are doing them job and remember when the case under Mandatory Administrative Processing that's mean it's in Washington DC not at the embassy and then they have a million cases there so they wish to give us news because I know they feel what we feel they are Humans but just they are doing them job to protect them country from bad people and I totally agree with this but I wish this AP step to be clear to people so people will know what is going on,and also immigration process being clear and faster than this.

Yes halalbrother, they are doing their job sure and doing their best.

I have no doubt they are understaffed as well for the number of cases they have to process. Which is significant.

I agree they should be concerned with security and that's an extremely difficult job.

But I also happen to know that through AP they find something in less than 1% of all cases. You can look it up on the US State Department. So generally speaking AP isn't exactly productive.

I also know that they don't put all cases through AP - even those from the same countries. And even those cases that they do put in AP, from some countries it is much faster!

None of this helps us however.

What we need to think about is being patient and praying for strength. We will be with our loved ones. One day.

I get sad and frustrated. But there's nothing we can do to change the system.

I'm glad we can message and keep each other's spirits up! Thank you to everyone here for giving me some comfort in this process!

Every day we get closer to the end! I know that for sure. Lets hope the time passes as smoothly as possible.

Sorry guys I didn't see it,

The US embassy in cairo doesn't work today and 6/7 is Eid and 8/9 Friday and Saturday so they are only working tomorrow and they worked yesterday.

I'm sorry for saying working because I was writing not working but it was automatic correct from my stupid cellphone.

So the Embassy working tomorrow in Egypt.

Happy Eid for everyone.
