My husband just had his visa interview in Cairo Egypt on 7/22/2018. They told him that we had the wrong version of the 1-864 and needed to send a different version (we did i-864ez and they wanted the i-864 form). They told him to send this form with his passport through Aramex. They did not tell him if he was approved or not for the visa after the interview. Is it a good sign that they asked for his passport? We did the form and sent it with his passport on the same say (7/22/2018). How long does it normally take to know if he is approved and can travel? Thank you!

Why i-864ez is wrong for you ?

are you sponsoring him and it is only the 2 of you as in household size ?

Yes I am sponsoring him and it is only the 2 of us. We have no children.

Hmmm that is weird. did you check "yes" on the first 3 questions on the form ?

I know I thought it was weird too because it was approved when I sent in all my paperwork originally but then when he went to the interview they told him to do the other form. Yes I checked yes on all 3.

you should be fine with that form, I am drawing a blank as to why they told you that you need the other one o.O

maybe somebody here can chime in and give us some insights.

Thanks! Do you think it is a good sign that they asked us to send his passport?
