Now that we have the green card, it seems like forever since the process started. A year and a day.

IMBRA really sucked!!

All the best to those that continue to wait!

IMBRA was SEVERE! Oh what a nightmare. And then there are people who can't wait 2 months for an approval. Well, that's just the way it rolls, I guess.

Cheers to you're wife's GC, William33 ! May God reward you both with a precious, sweet life together. (F)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

The arrival piece is the best part of Immigration. Following that, it is usually painless.

Rather, a pain in the ### that you really tend to ignore!!! Who really gives a sh!t about that, as long as there are no bumps along the way?

Unfortunately, some do, which sucks. Queen Becca now comes to mind.. :(

I will shut up now. All the best Queen Becca.

Hey William! Yep IMBRA surely did suck! But it is always good to see you have coped with the trauma well, and are finally together!

That was fairly quick on the green card, so guess you made up for IMBRA on the back end of the process.

As always, best of luck to you and the missus!

My one year anniversary for our NOA1 was March 14th. Passed it a few days ago. I guess I didn't realize that its been a year now. Somehow the petition process already seems a long time ago and Luz isn't even here yet. Our 3 year anniversary of meeting is next week on the 29th. The last three years seem like a long wonderful dream that was also filled with loneliness. 17 days from now my life will really start. What a long, strange trip it's been. Heres to the future!

She got her GC pretty quick! Cant wait til my wife gets hers, so she can get her azz a job! ;)

You could have filed the I-765 and she could probably work a lot sooner ;)

No, the initial green card is conditionally valid for 2 years. After that, you apply to lift conditions, wich will result in a 10 year card.

Congratulations on getting through the process. The petition on the USCIS side really is like no other part of the process (unless you are going through VSC I guess!). We filed just days after the post IMBRA forms were released and thanks to VJ, we realized to grab the new form, but I was here with all of those stuck with IMBRA. It was a long hard summer for those filers!
