I used to drive bicyle and motorcycle back home when i got here in US i test drove the car and i learned really quick.Wooowww i will get my permit soon...I am only 20 yrs old...

Yes, she can drive manual and automatic, heck she even drives better than me! They got worse traffic and drivers in the Phillipines so you bet.

No, i cant drive...but i just took the Learner's permit written test and passed!!! got 100% so i should be starting my driving lessons soon

No, but my husband is going to be getting his driving permit next month sometime and I'm gonna make him learn. No way he's riding his bike through slushy Chicago winters.

Pete is a mechanic in the UK and actually works on all kinds of autos..including American autos.....when they take it out for a test drive...imagine..for you UK'ers the steering wheel on the passenger's side...and driving on the British roads... It takes some time getting use to...he still has not drove here yet on his visits...but he will drive once he's here permanently and gets to know his way around

I have had a Finnish driver's licence for almost 7 years so technically I can drive. My American wife also thinks that I'm a good driver. Still, I voted "NO" on this thread, because I don't consider my driving skills that good. In fact I consider myself as a health hazzard on the road with a car and thus I avoid driving as much as i can . My wife is always the one behind the wheel and i prefer it that way. I guess that has to change once I'm in the US for good, since you just can't walk everywhere as i currently do . Public transportation is, and always has been, out of the question in my case; I absolutely hate them.

Luckily my Sasha is very skilled at driving. But driving my SUV is tricky for her. Funny how it seems difficult to drive a large automatic after driving a small manual. She tries to drive with both feet at the same time.

Matbe I should have kept my Mitsubishi. But the dog would have hated me for it.

Jonny hasn't driven in 4 years I think it is. I think he had better take a refresher course before he drives in either country! In this pic he's standing in front of what he thought was a stop sign!

He thinks I'm nuts cos I drive with my left foot propped up on the dash I'm just very flexible and I'm more comfortable that way

I voted no. Even though he isa great driver in Cairo, the rules, the road signs, and the written test will have to be practiced before I think he will pass the test. (in English, that is. maybe if it was in arabic, he could pass right away)

I would feel completely comfortable with him behind the wheel, though. Driving in Cairo teaches you how to avoid accidents. I don't think he would get us into an accident, but he might rack up on traffic violations!
