Hello All,

Please help! My mother was suppose to have her visa interview August 2015 but she had do DOT for 6-8 months. Her repeat medical was on May 19, 2016 and immunization was on May 26, 2016, she passed medical and had her visa interview on June 7, 2016. The consul told her all is good and to wait for visa. They took her passport and all other original documents like NBI, NSO birth certificate, and all. June 8, 2016 i checked ceac website and they have as REFUSED and saying "We notified you in writing with the status of your visa". First, we did not received any notification in any form that we were refused. The consul told my mom to wait for her visa in the mail. So I called NVC and was told that their update says "ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING. So now, I AM WAY confused. I called US Embassy Manila few times and they could not explain what is going on I ether as they have limited access, I am told to just wait. Yes, I can wait but I would really want to know what is the real status of our case so I can act accordingly like prepare the missing docs and have my mom appear for second interview if there's a need to. I felt bad for my 71 year old mother having to deal with this waiting. Has anyone here is on the same situation as we are? What is really going on? I will really appreciate all the information and help you all can give me. I've included screenshot of ceac status as of June 10, 2016 below for reference. Thank you!

As you can see the CEAC status situation is fluid. My hunch is, do not go by what the website is saying. Only take the word of the Consulate officer. If he said it's approved, it is approved. If it was under AP, the officer would have given you a 221g letter notifying as such.

I know its tough to hear, but sit tight and wait.

Thank you for taking time to respond. I'm trying to stay positive for our case, I am leaning more onto what you said to trust what the officer told my mom.

I guess my panick mode is long gone ?

Hi, I have similar status, how is your status now??
