Denied tourist visa and future VWP

I highly doubt if Colombia will ever be added to VWP. Even though Colombia's adjusted refusal rate is already high, the visa overstay rate is also high, besides, all WVP countries are high income countries

VWP seem to be for mostly, European nations on our good side.

To be considered for the VWP, the country must have a visitor visa refusal rate of less than 3%, issue e-passports, have enhanced law enforcement and security-related data sharing with the US, have a set procedure for the timely reporting of lost and stolen passports and maintain a high standard of document security as well as high standards of law enforcement, border control and counter-terrorism.

Since the European Union has a set standard for all member states, it's pretty understandable that most EU countries are part of the VWP. As is e.g. Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Singapore.
