Ok great Dorothy... Do you know when he can fill out and submit the DS-160? Before packet 3 when it says "ready" at embassy, or wait till we received packet 3

Well, i dont know about arjantina but you can fill ds-160 with your uscis receipt number. You can fill it i guess. I did it. my ds-160 is ready. I suggest you to ask to another arjantina filer. :)

Can someone help me out? While waiting for NVC to receive our case I want to be fully prepared. At our embassy in Argentina we get our packet 3 emailed, they send it to the beneficiary but I never put his email down. So I was wondering how we will get packet 3. Also should I wait until I get packet 3 to submit the DS-160? Or can I do it when it says ready at the embassy? They set our appointment date for us after they received packet 3 back.

1) Don't worry abt the email address. They ll send it to the petioner and u can send it to him. In my case, yesterday they sent interview scheduled email to my fiance(petioner) even if I had put my email address. We didnt get packet 3 coz it was already in the consulate website.

2) No, you dont ve to wait for ur packet 3 to send ds-160. Once it says ready you can send Ds-160. I sent mines right next day of it says ready

Good luck:)

Packet 3 Is just local embassy specific guidelines. I was able to find them online so I didn't need to wait.

packet 4 is interview date.

Once the local embassy received my petition, the CEAC had a link that led me to the local embassy website to register and pay for the visa and schedule the interview. The earliest interview date available was two days from now, but medical appointment interview needed to be ten days prior, so I scheduled it for the 19th hoping to get the medical done between now and the 9th.

medical appointment wont be till the 20th and we're being told it will be ok. I'm upset because prior to scheduling the interview, we were told the medical can be set at anytime, however they needed an interview date to schedule the medical.E

Either way, NVC informed me there's no need to wait for packet 3 if I already have all the paperwork in place.

Thank you so much for the info :) ....
