Hi Guys! I have a question... How does it help us if we call NVC to get our case number before getting our package 3 from the embassy???

Just a question because I was kind of desperate getting the number but readding looks like you have to wait for the package 3 to schedule an interview. What I mean is... Is the same knowing the NVC# now or later right????

Wow! I received my NOA2 in the mail today. Only took 4 days to receive it from USCIS. Hope the mail from USCIS to NVC is that fast too! Hehehe. Hope you all have a great day and hang in there. Life is good!

I can't schedule an interview it says the case number is not ready for interview yet.

Once you have your NVC# you can pay your visa fee, fill out DS-160 , attend medical, and schedule your interview. However, you must wait until Embassy receives your packet before you actually go to the interview. But if you wait about 3 weeks in-between the time your packet is sent to the embassy and when it says "case ready" you should be fine. Below is a helpful website for the Philippines. It might shed some information on your question.

We have the same NOA2 date.

I started calling Tuesday. Nothing yet.

Hi guys,

So, we were approved on the 26th (I found out via app) and today I received the hardcopy in the mail. The weird thing is that I also received a somewhat confusing email about an hour ago that states:

"On August 26, 2016, we approved your Form I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), Receipt Number WAC1690518508. We will mail your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations. "

What does this mean exactly? Does this mean that they are just now sending my approval to the NVC? Or does it mean that the NVC now knows that I've been approved? I assumed that they sent out my approval to the NVC on the 26th, so that's why I'm confused..

Guy i need some help here.. I got my NOA2 hardcopy today and they have my maiden misspelled, they put an O instead of A. Should i call uscis or wait until my case received at NVC? Will this delay my application?

RFE was sent on 29th but we haven't received anything yet, any idea how long it may take?

It takes about 4 business days to receive the hard copy

I called NVC friday. They received my file on thursday, but had not assigned a number yet. They said up to two weeks to assign a number. What is the real time I can get that number?

Call them at 11:30pm new hampshire time tonight or wait until Tuesday (Monday is labour day and the office is closed)
