I wanted to edit because I needed to clarify: Its not that you felt upset and voiced it, but the frequency. So many people are already understandably concerned in these posts, that it's not helpful to overall morale to repeatedly complain. I'm sorry, I couldn't edit my post so I think this sounds out of context and harsh - I really don't mean it to be. Sending you all love which is why we're here! :)

Based on the numbers in Igor's list, of the June filers

245 total

6 RFE

97 approved

That puts the number of 129s touched at 42 percent and most months seem done at 90 percent complete, so almost half way there. Hang in there, it's coming!

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but I think I need to put the amount if I-129Fs into perspective for everyone. And those that have been approved thus should feel very, very, very, very lucky. Igor's list is but a fraction of those people that are doing through the process. It is unrepresentative of what is actually happening. You are right about the 42% of the 245 being approved here on VJ. But did you know that the actual number of I-129Fs out there for June is more like 2000-5000? Thant does not even include all other visa types. That is 10x the amount that are being posted on VJ and those numbers may very well be instigated. This number is based on the fact there there were 659 I-129Fs submitted to USCIS for 23-25 May only. If you don't believe me go to the USCIS Case Tracker use the search function and put in your WAC number and go up by a count of 500 because that will be the max allowed and look at the sheer volume of cases submitted. You can then sort by I-129s and see the status doe all cases and even push the graph and it will show you approved, rejected, RFE, and others which are pending. I recommend everyone do this just to shed light on the process and we can give USCIS a break because they are just doing their job.

Yeah, it sucks waiting! We all know this...I'm a May filer and I'm still waiting and I'm sure there are those that are waiting even longer than me. Sorry to be such a downer, but I needed to point out that when you are approved, just remember to thank God for what you have been given and consider yourself lucky because others aren't.

Again, I'm sorry. I don't want to get people's hopes up and then to have them crushed when their adjudication date passes. Because that is what happened to me and because of it I now have a better understanding of the big picture. This is t the only time we will have to be at USCIS. When we do our AOS and other steps toward citizenship, the process will be repeated. Rebember patience is a virtue you are going to need it on this journey! Be thankful for what you have and best wishes and luck to everyone out there. We are all hoping and wishing for the same thing. We need to support one another and rely on others for their support and experience when the times get bad.

Thanks for listening and good luck to us all!

Agreed. Igors list is a subset of the total, i never claimed any different but it is also a random sampling of the total.

Scientifically it adheres to the principal that the whole can be determined from the measurement of a randomly selected subset to predict the outcome. Thing exit polls and the like, they dont ask all the voters they randomly select people and extrapolate the result, usually fairly accurately.

100% agree with you RandyandYuni and you are absolutely correct on both of your statements! You were right on point with what you said and I just wanted to expand on it. The approval process is a craps shoot with who gets approved and who has to wait longer. Good news is the 5000 cases I looked at there were only like 2-3 flat out rejections. Good news is that it's not if we will be approved, but rather than when.

Keep the faith, stay the course, and in the end the prize will be ours!

Hi LilAus!! Good luck! And to all those who are still to receive their NOA2's!!

I just wanted to let everyone know as it seemed to get a little lost and confused,

I read on another forum post. I cannot find the original post but I did copy this. Please note this is current and not from 2012.

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone else is having the same slow time processing between noa2 and NVC receiving/processing.

I got my NOA2 on June 9th 2016, and received the hard copy letter the following week - which states I should allow 30 days for processing. However I have seen based on information on VJ that most people are issued a case number at NVC 2-3 weeks after NOA2.

I called NVC at my 3 week mark and they advised they had not received it and that it can take up to 6 weeks for them to receive from USCIS - which totally contradicts the information on the NOA2. I called them again at the 4 week mark and still they have no record.

I don't really want to wait until 6 weeks to discover that it may be lost in the system? And also think they are saying 6 weeks just to stop me calling them.

This was posted from another thread. They are advising people to wait up to 6 weeks to receive the cases before calling. Many other people have posted the same thing. If you look in the thread under NVC.

Basically they will not respond to you until around the 6 week mark. I am guessing that processing times have become longer and we all need to just be a little bit more patient with them! Good luck and I hope everyone is getting approved and get their notices soon!!!

Just wanted to say congrats to everyone approved so far:) we are getting closer to our tentative timeline for our NOA 2 and I'm excited and hopeful. I miss my Wolfie :)

My two cents...

I'm American and my fiancé is Brazilian. Generalizations about culture, aptitudes, gender, and behavior are not helpful or acceptable.

You guys are correct!

We are all in the same boat. We are all anxious and patience is a virtue of a few!

At the same time we should all embrace our diversities (culture, gender, etc).

If some one is impatience (Oh well!! let them be). Move on. Be tolerant! (another virtue of a few) LOL

I have read people's attitudes, harsh comments, sarcasm and generalization when they rend colorful opinions/suggestions/advice (including moderators).

We should all be grateful to utilize this forum as a tool to learn from each other's experiences and tribulations leaving differences aside. (meaning: keep your sensitive-self to yourself).

My sincere congrats to those lucky ones already with their NOA2 and my love and patience to those like me still waiting for it! (L)
