Congrats, fellow Canadian filer! Here's hoping now we don't have to wait 3-4 months for an interview... ?

i am sorry but why are you always so grumpy about what i said all the time. i can be impatient because i miss my fionce and i want to get my number as fast as i can so i can schedule my interview at least 2 months later .i am trying to be helpful as much as i can. i research and share my experiences & info with people over here so they wont wait extra days and dont worry i will have wait time because my embassy gives interview like 2-3 months later. thank you for your concern.

And about your question about starting calling them 1 week later:

I followed may filers they all started calling nvc after 1 week mostly people get their case number 1 week later. even when you call nvc and they say they dont have your case and they tell you to call them 2 weeks later, may filers called nvc 1 day later and nvc says they got their case and they give to petitioner a case number. They are not gonna get annoyed about you are calling them every day. It is their job and i dont think you will talk with the same person everytime you call them.

One of my friend from turkey told me to call them 1 week later because that's when he got his case number.

Even there is a person who told that you should call them every day at 9pm (forgot the time zone). (not sure why)

I don't think I've ever been grumpy towards you so...

As someone else has said you're the most impatient person on this entire thread. It's frustrating to see and calling and harassing them everyday is just going to piss them off and make them less helpful. You do realise they will log your number everytime you call in a database...?

I miss my fiancé too... Which is why I'm flying out to visit her next week. I understand where you're coming from but me harassing the NVC isn't going to make our visa come through any quicker. I'd rather let nature take its course.

If you think I'm grumpy towards you then you're wrong. It's just very frustrating seeing someone so impatient and encouraging others to harass the NVC when we're ALL in the same boat as you. I'm also obviously not the only person that thinks that judging by posts before this one.

Also going to jump in on this. I was very close to saying the same thing to Dorothy before she got approved yesterday. It's incredibly frustrating seeing how impatient she's been every time I've opened a page on this thread, we're all in the same place here and reading her negative comments every couple of replies really brings down the mood of the whole thread. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticed this. Also her font is quite difficult to read on my iPad, which just adds to everything.

Congratulations to all of the new approvals... We are still waiting, but in due time we will get ours. I'm just happy it's not taking the estimated 5 months it is stating on the USCIS webpage.

I know we are all anxious to see our loved ones, what keeps me going is knowing that spending time away is only temporary. We will have the rest of our lives to be with each other. It's hard at times yes and we are all in the same boat on this thread, or we wouldn't be here. We are here to support each other and give advice.

I hope the comments about Dorothy are made by a United Kingdom and Ireland person, then I would say Welcome to America and please, learn to be tolerant and respect to other cultures and gender.

As I see, Dorothy is a woman and she is from Turkey or her fiance is. Being a woman is more emotional and her reaction is very understandable. Turkey, even if she is an American yet getting well with Turkish people means she is close to their culture which is way more emotional than the North of Europe, England and Ireland. We all are different, I am originally for the North of Europe myself and I can relate to European people learning to live in America. We all here are or immigrants, or future immigrants, or mix of different races and culture, or willing to mix as we decided to bring our love form abroad.

Please, understand not everybody reacts as you expect them react in your culture. And please, learn now as your foreign fiance(e) will react not the way you expect them just because of different origin and culture.

and ... Welcome to America!

True, it depends of the person. I am very emotional too but when I cry, I also laugh at myself.

The thing is we bring our beloved to a wonderful country. So many different people, colors and attitude and we all live here as a big family. Amazing land America adopting us all. One day new immigrants become American citizens and it's the process to learn to live as a family here.

I wish all of us very soon approval, very soon visa and a very smooth integration and understanding starting from 2 of us (or 3,4 ... if we have kids), starting from our own family. Ups and downs in the mood during this waiting process. Today I am happy as my fiance told me he decided to bring his 1 year and half baby with him to live with us from the day one, it means a lot to me, it means I will see my fiance happy, not missing worrying about his little daughter and we will start the real family life from the beginning

Dorothy has always supported everyone, shared information, been helpful. She is exuberent and generally nice. The attacks are mean and unwarranted, as another poster stated, you are coming here, Americans tend to be impatient in some things, we are all in this together, no sense squabbling.

Thank you. I use comic sans for my font because i think it looks smooth. It is readable.

So i just wanted to show you, i tell you guys to call them every day after one week because i read like that. Not just because i am impatient.

Hehe, you're welcome smile.gif

As long as you're not calling every two minutes, you'll be fine calling them once a day without having any problems. I have yet to see a case on here where calling often jeopardized their case.

CALL - I called everyday . At first I would get the answer after I gave them the receipt number: That case is not in our system. Until the day that I called and they said could you verify the beneficiaries names, address, phone, email etc thats when I knew they had the case

I also called everyday and just before they closed and looking at my timeline, I do not think it was delayed. They must know its ok to be anxious and expectant about these things biggrin.gif

You can call anytime between 8am - midnight (eastern times).

As for when you should start, wait a week from your NOA2 date. Then start calling every day afterwards until you get your case number and IIN.

You can wait about 1 or 2 weeks then call everyday from that day forward.... Please read also the guide for NVC

NVC General Information

NVC Flowchart

Good Luck.....

one thing i would say is that, after waiting for sometime, i called everyday to obtain NVC case number and of course i get the typical answer from NVC, "your case has not shown up in our system yet" but you should call everyday to obtain your case number if you like.

I can quote more. You dont have to call them everyday. But most of vj members calls everyday to get their number.

I don't feel like i have to defend myself. I shared my feelings over here i found support and i really felt better after i read their comments. Thank you.

for example, this person from may filer got his noa2 at 8/4 NVC received his file at 8/12

it took only 5 days (edit: 5 week day) for him. everything is faster, just wanted to help. if you want to wait extra 1-3 more week it is perfectly ok for me.
