Hello everyone I posted this somewhere else but didn't get a response from anyone. Maybe posting here I will have better luck.

I have a question about the police report. It states that if they stay in a country over a year they need a police report from that country. Here is my story:

My fiancé travels a lot, he has not been home in over a year but will go home for medical and interview. He has been traveling around in Mexico on a touristic visa, they last for 6 months. He would leave for a few days and go back and renew his touristic visa for Mexico for another 6 months. Just recently he left and went to Panama to get his workers visa for Mexico and was granted. So he has been in and out of Mexico for a year on a touristic visa for a year and now a workers visa for a month. So my question is should he get a police report from Mexico? So in reality he has only lived there for a month and visiting as a tourist for 1 year.

When in doubt err on the side of caution, I would do so and get the report just to be safe, you don't want to be tripped up on a nit that is easily avoided

It depends they might ask you for more, like calls, chat mesaages, airplane tickets, etc.

In this webpage they say all the things you should send them. Check it out, because if they dont ask you for that, maybe they will ask your fiance(e) at the interview.

It's been proven about 100 times on many forums that you will not get an RFE for not sending chat logs.

Nothing on the USCIS website or any other reputable websites say you need to send/show chat logs.

I got NOA2 last week - we didn't send chat logs. And we didn't get any RFE's. Just photos of us together and airline tickets.

I know this will probably be a broad answer, but what's generally the average wait period between receiving your NOA2 and your embassy interview?

I was wondering this myself... Most people say from start to finish the K1 process is about 6-9 months.

I believe this varies hugely depending on the embassy (and time the NVC takes to forward your case to them! Some March filers were waiting much longer than the typical 2 week turnaround there) handling your case.

You might get a better idea if you find your country's portal on this site - people will be discussing the nitty gritty that will apply to you. I don't know how to find them (I'm on mobile) or I'd try to link you your's; I only found the Canada one because someone linked me and I bookmarked it, lol.

For me, right now people are booking in September and October for interviews in Montreal. I'm hoping I won't be too far behind. I want to spend Christmas with my sweetheart this year <3

Excited to see that some filers are getting their noa2 that filed a week before me.. who else from Canada filed beginning of june...Ryan is wondering about Montreal and if he needs to have his medical there or if they have docs in Alberta that will be sufficient. Doc list he found will be obsolete in sept.
