Alright it's time for me to eat my words; just got APPROVED!

Received by USCIS May 31st

NOA1 June 3rd

NOA2 Aug 12th.

I for sure thought we were going to get an RFE for my fiancé's birth certificate; it didn't have a back so we didn't send one. But we're good!

Congratulations!

Thank you! Fiancé called me and said he'd gotten a text that the "case had been updated". That wording freaked me out, thinking it was an RFE, but when I loaded the USCIS website, there it was :)

Congratulations! At what time did your notification come through and what time zone?

Literally 11:30pm on the dot; that's in Atlantic time so 10:30pm Eastern. And thank you ;) Edited by VividDreamer

AAHHH!! OMG WE WERE APPROVED!!!

June 11th mail in

June 13th NOA1

Aug 12th NOA2

60 days!!!!

I have notifications set up, but none came through. I checked the app (I have 3 different ones installed) because I realized I hadn't checked it in quite a while (45 minutes), and before I could say ecclesi-voila!! There it was! A nice big status change with that nice looking red digit #1 letting me know I was approved.. AAAHHh I'm so freakin' excited! I can't contain myself. I called my fiance and we both freaked out over the phone!!

Congratulations! What app you using?

Hello everyone I posted this somewhere else but didn't get a response from anyone. Maybe posting here I will have better luck.

I have a question about the police report. It states that if they stay in a country over a year they need a police report from that country. Here is my story:

My fiancé travels a lot, he has not been home in over a year but will go home for medical and interview. He has been traveling around in Mexico on a touristic visa, they last for 6 months. He would leave for a few days and go back and renew his touristic visa for Mexico for another 6 months. Just recently he left and went to Panama to get his workers visa for Mexico and was granted. So he has been in and out of Mexico for a year on a touristic visa for a year and now a workers visa for a month. So my question is should he get a police report from Mexico? So in reality he has only lived there for a month and visiting as a tourist for 1 year.

No. It doesn't matter that people with longer NOA1 dates than yours are getting processed. It's a case of when your application lands on the desk of the case agent it will get processed.

If there is something wrong with your application you'll receive an RFE when they're ready to send it to you. They will tell you absolutely nothing on the phone and I don't imagine you'll even get through to a human... You'll probably just end up speaking to a robot.

Patience... It'll come soon! :)
