So... I got my NOA1 on June 1 and got approved on Aug 4th. I did not receive any text or email notification (no official mail yet either). I honestly wouldnt have even known until I read someone else post on here to check case status.

Should I be worried? Why haven't I gotten a letter or anything?

Anyways... what're the next steps. I want to get on it ASAP

congratz. i guess now they will send it to nvc.

i would start call them 1 week after you got approved. thigns are going so fast somehow :P

There is some answers from may filers i am typing here so it might help you guys who got their noa 2 :)

You can call either the immigrant or nonimmigrant line. I noticed longer wait times on the immigrant line (which are to be expected), but either line should be able to give you the information.

Immigrant line - 603-334-0700

Non immigrant line - 603-334-0888

Typically, the person will ask for the receipt number first off. Other times when they've said "may I help you", I've said that I wanted to know if my case had been received from USICS. Or something along those lines. It's painless, the hardest part is the hold time.

Actually the DS-160 only requires the USCIS number, not the NVC. It is a PAIN! Once we received NOA 2, we started on the DS-160, did not submit, and saved it. You can save it for up to 30 days. When my fiance got packet 3 yesterday (which requires us to mail in the DS-160 confirmation page) we were able to simply go back to our saved DS-160, submit, print ( took less than 5 minutes), and mail off packet 3 the same day it was received. I would highly suggest it this way!

We are Netherlands, which has a little different process than London, but I think from what I've read you are correct that you need to wait for NVC number to schedule that. I know London has changed recently to allow some online scheduling, which is wonderful!

The only other thing I can think of that you may need would be proof of ongoing relationship. I've seen where a lot of people never get asked for it at the interview, but some do. And what does London do about police certificates? That might be something you could start trying to get (sorry, I don't know the process for you). Aside from those two things, that's all I can think of, sounds like you're well prepared!

I wanted to add...if you're like me (obsessed, lol) you will be making a ton of calls to NVC for the case number. After you give your USCIS number, if they ask your name...get ready to write down a case number! That was the only time I was asked anything aside from WAC # and receipt date, as soon as the lady asked my name I began squealing and saying "you have it, don't you? omg! it's there", she just laughed and said yes, now get yourself a pen! Lol!

Of the 21 I-129F's in the 50 case numbers after mine (through that app) now 12 have had approvals or RFEs. May 31st received dates for all. Man, this process is nerve-wracking to say the least. It's getting hard not to cry every night at the cut-off time :/

Make sure you check your USCIS tracking - that's how I found out!

Just as a reminder:

We received NOA1 on the 9th June

We received NOA2 on the 11th August

Go to the USCIS website here: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

You then just type in your receipt number which should be on your NOA1 paperwork (Mine began with WAC*****)
