Hello,

I-94? Had she previously been to the USA? Because the I-94 card (arrival/departure card) is for people who have been in and out of the USA. Correct me if I'm wrong. My fiancée doesn't have an I-94 card unless I'm missing something. Please advise! Thanks.

The i94 is electronic and your fiancé should have one if he already entered with his k1

Here is the website.  https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home

Every time you enter or leave the US it is recorded there.  Just make sure the names match.  I had to call CBP and have my wife's name changed on her I-94 because it was incorrect.  Had to send them some paperwork but it was changed within 5 days.

K1 visa approved last week!  My fiancé had to do the sputum test so the interview was delayed.  Last week they told us that his medical will expire on the 10th of this month and that he must travel before then.  He also said it would take about ten days for him to get his passport back.  He is going to the embassy today to check if it's available.  What happens if it's not ready by then?

No.  There is no need to change your name after a name change.  Your I-94 needs to match your passport.  In my wife's case...she has 3 first names.  On the I-94 they only entered 1.  Hence, I had to call them and send them the information so they could "fix" it so all 3 of her first names were on the I-94 so it matched her passport.

Hope that clarifies your question.

Hello, i got married on 3rh february. i got my marriage certification. It doesn't say that my surname changed. But did my surname change?

I am really confused. I don't have SSN yet. There is no paper to show that my surname changed. In marriage certification, it says we got married but my surname didn't change at that. It shows my maiden name.

Do i need to type my last name in AOS as my maiden name or with my husbands surname. :/

Congrats on your marriage.

When you fill out the paperwork for you AOS, us the surname that you want for your married name. The marriage certificate is the supporting document if you use your husband's name. Be sure to use the same name when you apply for SSN, driver's license, and have your name added to bank accounts.

Having your maiden name on you passport should not be a problem. If you will be travelling outside the U.S., make sure you have a copy of your marriage license in case there are any questions. You will also have your green card or AP card, with whatever married name you decide to use.

My wife's passport does not expire until 2026, and we are not planning any international travel for at least a year, so we are going to wait to change the name on her passport.

After a quick look at the info for the Florida DMV, It looks like you will neead your EAD.

Edit: I just saw in another thread that someone in Florida was able to use their AOS NOA1 to be able to take the written portion of the exam.

Yes.

Regardless of his income he has to be the main sponsor, and then you can use your co-sponsor.
