Approved. Also was asked lots of questions. Mostly about why she chose someone with age difference.

Loren and Arthesa

From "Love"

The like force has the passion over all his nature. It expands the sentiment; it makes the clown gentle, and gives the coward heart. Into the most pitiful and abject it will infuse a heart and courage to defy the world, so only it have the countenance of the beloved object. In giving him to another, it still more gives him to himself. He is a new man, with new perceptions, new and keener purposes, and a religious solemnity of character and aims. Ralph Waldo Emerson

Hello randy and yuni, I just saw your Embassy review and you said that they asked her a bunch of questions, what kind of questions? Just normal things about the relationship?

Where we met, visits, had I met parents, about my kids, marriage plans

Hello people, My visa/passport Is in my hands along with the big envelope. Waiting 4 months wasn't easy but it worth it doing the right thing. I was advised by some friends to just travel there since I have a valid B1/B2 visa expiring in 2018 thereafter apply for a change of status. But my fiancée and I just wanted to go with this to avoid the rigors of going through those stress after marriage. Thank you everyone in this platform, VJ was really helpful. About to start another chapter in my life. I'm just so happy....

Congrats to all approved June Filers .

Im so nervous right now. I've got my interview on Tuesday and have myself really worked up about a denial. I've read way to much on this forum of how things can go wrong. This process is so stressful and i've gone and made it worse by reading every possible bad outcome.. Praying it's over soon.

Hello fello VJers. So we had our interview on 29 September and had to submit another NBI clearance with an aka name. The CO said it was a common request and nothing to worry about. Embassy received in on the 3rd. Case updated on the 4th Immigrant "administrative processing" and turned to Non-immigrant "ready" on 5 October. Nothing has changed since. The ceac website says check back after 2 business days. But no update and its beeb 8 business days. Anyone else experienced this? When should we expect the Visa to be issued? The waiting is killing us and not having any updates.

Thanks in advance to your responses!

Our package was sent to China from NVC on Oct. 1st, and the status updated to "ready" on Oct. 6th, till Oct. 13th we haven't heard anything from the embassy so we emailed them, then the status updated date change to Oct.13 th, when we got respond from the embassy on Oct.14th, they said they haven't received our package yet!! God I don't know what's going on right now. What does "ready"means exactly? If they haven't received it who updated the status? I am so confused now, what can I do guys? Anyone pls explain to me . Thank you very much.

Visa was approved today at the interview! I think I'm still processing everything and won't relax until I'm in US with my fiancee.

The security at the gate forgot to call out the immigrant visa applicants and kept calling out only tourist visa applicants, so I made a big mistake of waiting in the cold. After I approached the security guard, he apologized and let me go through ahead of line. The whole interview process was pretty straight forward. They first took my passport, then they collected the documents, then I paid for the visa (in Serbia, these visas are paid in the Embassy), then I got ten printed and only then was the interview.

The oddest thing was that the CO was obviously an American but held the interview in Serbian, not English. This was a big surprise to me and she wasn't very comfortable with Serbian, but I think this is great for those applicants with weaker English skills. I got asked the usual, where and when we met, how often he's been to Serbia, how many times have I traveled to US, his previous marriage etc. She asked to see our pictures together, I handed her about 50 printed pictures and she went through all of them, asking me questions about this and that. She was very serious and straightforward.

Good luck to everyone still waiting for their interview dates and thank you for keeping me sane through this process
