Hey everyone! Checked my case with NVC case number it shows "ready",stutas was updated on Oct.6th.Now what's next? Does"ready"means they already sent packet 3 to me or?I am Chinese.Thank you for any respond in advance.

Ready simply means your case has arrived and received by the embassy. It doesn't necessarily means that they have sent you Packet 3 on the same day. Now just make sure you have all the required documents (such as I-134 and supporting documents, birth certificate and its translation if its not in English, police certificates, etc) with you so you can schedule for the interview without any speed bumps.

From this point on the K1 process is more embassy-specific as different embassies in different countries go about to scheduling their medical examination and interviews differently. In some countries you don't need to wait for Packet 3 to schedule for medical examination and interview, whereas in other countries you need the Packet 3 in order to proceed. As for Malaysia, I received my Packet 3 via email a week after the embassy receives my case.

Doe anyone know if we get an I 94 print out when the visa is granted? Is it better to get married and then apply for an ssn ?

If you get married after there is a possibility of going back for the name to be changed, otherwise it's choice

So DHL attempted to deliver our case to the embassy this morning, but according to the tracker the delivery failed because the consigne premises was closed.. Has anyone had this happen before? Do they try again later in the day or tomorrow or how does it work?

From "Love"

The like force has the passion over all his nature. It expands the sentiment; it makes the clown gentle, and gives the coward heart. Into the most pitiful and abject it will infuse a heart and courage to defy the world, so only it have the countenance of the beloved object. In giving him to another, it still more gives him to himself. He is a new man, with new perceptions, new and keener purposes, and a religious solemnity of character and aims. Ralph Waldo Emerson

We have received a letter from nvc with our case number in it, i checked the ceac status and it says " Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center."

Does it mean it is received by the embassy? Why it says my interview was scheduled by nvc? Is it supposed to be set by the embassy?

For your consulate, it looks like you will contact the embassy by email to schedule the appointment.

So how about the message on the website? Do I have to contact them now and ask if they have received it? The letter was issued on October 5th, do u think it is received by the embassy?

The part about the interview being scheduled, is a generic message.

See the consulate info page (the link in my previous message.)
