Update. My fiancé completed her physical on Thursday and returned Friday and got her shots. She now has results in hand and is ready for interview on October 13th. One step closer. They had more than normal crowds at the slec because of the price increase that starts in October.

From "Love"

The like force has the passion over all his nature. It expands the sentiment; it makes the clown gentle, and gives the coward heart. Into the most pitiful and abject it will infuse a heart and courage to defy the world, so only it have the countenance of the beloved object. In giving him to another, it still more gives him to himself. He is a new man, with new perceptions, new and keener purposes, and a religious solemnity of character and aims. Ralph Waldo Emerson

We will be just a few days behind you. Her interview is scheduled for the 17th. She is going for the medical exam on the 12th. We had thought about trying to do the medical earlier, to get the lower price, but a second plane trip to Manila would not would have cost about the same.

Not yet. Seriously considering it, but all those warnings about booking early sitting in the back of my head. I am going to fly her to Chicago and pick her up there. We will have the 3.5 hour drive to talk and plan. EVA air starts going to Chicago Nov. 1. ORD is not on their website as a destination yet and Kayak goes to error. Still considering it. How about you?

I was in Cebu at the beginning of Sept. so we were able to book the manila flights while I was there. $71 round trip for each trip. Not too bad. I just didn't want make the schedule too tight in case of problems. Everything has been going good in the process and I have been playing it by the book. Don't want to change up now. haha!

I booked already, but our flights are a month after her interview. I am going over to collect her, she was hesitant coming alone with her son and being on guard for 26 hours. We are using Newark, I have been burned too many times in Chicago. Detroit would have been preferable but was 300+ more for the flight

How is everyone?

We are waiting for the interview in Jan. Thankfully,we are together in the home country,so the pressure of waiting ain't too much. Those at distance, I can imagine... I made my tough decision,to come be with him until process is done. Can't complain. All good so far.

Sup everyone, been a bit quiet in here the last few days, hope everything is going well for ye all.

The NVC received our case today after 14 days, and we got our NVC case number and invoice id number? What exactly can I do with these? I know I can track it's progress to my embassy here but I'm not exactly sure how.. Any info would be helpful. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. I just went to the NVC website and I'm a little confused now. Those six steps where you choose an agent and pay NVC fees, etc, is that anything to do with us K1 filers? Do we need to pay a fee to the NVC or does the NVC send everything over to my embassy without us having to do anything?

That's a generic message.

NVC will send it to the embassy.
