Hi Everyone,

I guess the Drama continues.......

My fiance called the U.S. Consulate on Monday, explaining to them that he never received the interview letter for the notorious FEB 2006 interview, resulting in him not showing up for an interview. They rescheduled him to come on MONDAY, MARCH 20, 2006 at 8:00 a.m. . Great right???? Especially since I will be in Germany that week. The lady promised to send out the interview letter on Monday, which he should receive on Tuesday (1 day delivery). Well, it is now THURSDAY and he has YET to receive the interview letter. I find this to be strange because they had the correct address to send him his application, why he is not receiving the interview letters???? Please provide me with some advice, because this will be the second interview we will miss, at no fault of our own :help: I'm afraid that if we do not make it to the second interview they can push his date to mid-June or July!!!!

Can we just show up at the U.S. Consulate on Monday without a letter??????/

I don't know about the consulate you are going too but in Ciudad Juarez in Mexico they have an information desk. You can go to that desk and get a copy of your letter. Your fiance may need to see if this is a possibility for him. He may also want to call them back and let them know he hasn't received the letter and see if they have any suggestions for him. If they sent the letter to him overnight on Monday and it is now Thursday they should see that as a problem and should be able to offer some kind of suggestions. At least I hope they could. Good luck and I hope everything turns out okay.

Congrats on getting the second interview and would think they would have a list of persons that are to attend interviews on that day. If the embassy is close by maybe they have an information desk like was mentioned and he can pick up a copy? Good luck.

Congratualtions on getting your interview date!

I had my interview on Monday and yes, my name was on the list. I had to show my passport and my passport shows my married name, but the name on the list was my maiden name.. so after looking at the list, the person could not find my name and then asked for my appointment letter.. after I showed it to him, I was let in..

My advice is come there early. They start letting everyone in @ 7:30 am.. I came there @ 6:45 am and there were 3 people in front of me. However, after 30 min, the line was HUGE and it is very cold here in Frankfurt now..

Good luck on your interview and make sure you have ALL documents in order and ready!
