It's good to have options...

Now spyware remover/blocker? I love Webroot spyware software. It tops anything I have tried before.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

I was a long time user of IE and my brother lept trying to convert me to Firefox... well, I finally jumped on the bandwagon a few months ago and I haven't looked back since.... the one problem I have with Firefox is that it doesn't let you do much when you try to post to MSN groups... :P no font, size or anything.... other then that it is great...

I like all the cool featrues Firefox has.....

IE caused us a lot of problems with spyware etc... We kept having to reinstall windows because our computer would always get so tangled with everything.... even though we had a firewall, and all sorts of spyware programs... I haven't had to reinstall windows since we started using Firefox.... Firefox runs a lot smoother and faster then IE too

This is just my 2 cents

Buy a real computer http://www.apple.com

'nuff said

~James

firefox runs on mac as well

yeah, difference is, your computer wont crash, is secure, has no viruses, has no spyware etc etc. That dodgy stuff doesnt exist on Apple Mac. And you dont need firefox on a mac. Safari, the native browser is much better than firefox... its pure perfection in a box.

And you want to promote that? The fact is that apple has few problems because they have fewer users. The OS is NOT infallible and at some point the fact that so many people think that it is WILL at some point come back and haunt them. If I write software for web use, I am going to cater it to the standard user I am trying to reach. Those who write viruses do the same thing. As more people promote Apple, and more people use them, those writing viruses will see Apple as a potential payload and figure out how to exploit it.

That's a funny image, rch99.

I use Safari nowadays, but I've used IE before (on both Windows and MacOS), and I'm happy those days are over. My school discourages the use of IE because it has caused severe problems in the past (40000 people using IE with massive security holes slows down a network remarkably and has even led to crashing servers), and so there's Firefox installed on all Windows machines as the default browser which is great because it's my second favorite browser. Haven't used the current Firefox-version on the Mac but use Mozilla (the forerunner I think) whenever I'm back on OS 9.

MSN is famous for their sites not working right on any browser but IE. You can't play the MSN games on firefox either.
