Travelling with a condition greencard

My wife has a two years conditional green card with will expired on 7/31/16 and she lot the mother in Africa , she is about to travel to African and be back on 7/6/16 . we are in the process of removing the condition , will she be ok to travel and back without any problems . please help

She would be fine even with an expired green card if she has her NOA1.

If you already have the NOA1 she should take it with her on case she stays longer due to unforseen circumstances.

Her greencard will not even be expired before her return. It's possible she might miss her biometric appointment if it is assigned before her return.

As long the GC has not expired you are allowed to travel - leave the country and come back. However, if you ask me, I would send in the application sooner than later. As NLR said earlier, what if she gets held up overseas. In any case, fill-in the I-751 and get her to sign it. In case she is not able to be back by 7/6 you can mail the package.

Yes. Okay to mail later as long as it is received by USCIS before the expiration.

Have it ready to go in envelope, addressed, and put it in the mail 6/22 (two weeks before her return). A good compromise that ought to cover getting the extension before expiration and not missing a quick biometric appointment.
