Payment Fee for Adjust for Status

Now I am trying to prepare the forms to send to USCIS and then do the status adjustment part!

I know you need to submit :

1) I485 Status Adjustment for k1 for $1070 USD.

2)I-130 Petition for Alien Relative for $420

My questions are:

1) I read online and also the instruction it says if I file I765 Employment Authorization together, the filing fee is $0, I am not sure if that is correct?

2)Is that all the documents I need to prepared?

3)Where should I send the cheque to and also who should I put as payable person/entity on the cheque??

4)Then the total cost for filing both package is $1490??

no, if you came on a K1 visa, you don't need to file the i130, you will file the i485 and the rest of the forms, including the i765, the i864 and the i131

You do not file an I-130 when adjusting from a K-1.

The fees for the I-765(EAD-work authorization) and I-131(AP-advance parole for travel) are waived when filed with a pending I-485, so include both of those too. It takes about 60-90 days to receive the EAD/AP combo card, which will allow you to work(along with an SSN) and re-enter the US when traveling abroad while waiting for the green card approval.

You need all the supporting documents for each form as well, so read the instructions for each one. You can also search here on VJ for what to include with each form if you get stumped. There are also example forms here on VJ you can look at when filling out the forms. They can be helpful.
