What are your reasons your so you want to move to USA? I know a lot of you have families there(myself too), spouses, etc, but why choose USA? You can live everywhere especially if you petitioner is US citizen. I had opportunities to move to Germany, Austria, Ireland and few more but I would never consider them over USA. My reasons are, well, lets be real, IT'S AMERICA! I loved it since I was a kid and later on US gave me more than my home country. Second reason is, as I said before, I have family there so it's a bit easier to get along with everything when you have someone. Third, my country is in hell, low paying jobs, no jobs, bad politics, bad politicians and much more. More than 80.000 people moved from Bosnia in last 2 years, which is a lot when you consider its under 4 million population. There are a lot more reasons but those are main ones.
In this country I will miss ONLY my dog, who I plan to bring with me when I get used to new place. Cheers!

US citizens have no right to free movement in the UK and cannot just ''move wherever they want''. In the UK my husband's right to liberty and happiness does not include a life with his wife. So he made the decision to leave everything behind, as many from that country do, and move here.

To live the dream.

My husband is a USAF veteran. We had some advantages down in the USA that we wouldn't have had in Canada due to his service. However, he had X amount of time to obtain employment that surpassed mine before he moved to Canada, and happened to get his ideal job working for the FAA. So I moved here vs him moving to Canada. That doesn't mean we're stuck here though, because we hope to retire in BC. Moving to the USA was never in my life plan before I met my husband. Life changes when love happens.

As I type this, F16's are flying overhead doing practice. It's something I never heard in Canada.

My DH has a daughter that he has joint custody of. He couldn't move to Canada. That's the main reason

I heard Canada is great too, especially because of healthcare.

Actually no, just because you have a USC spouse doesn't mean you can live anywhere, USCs need visas to live most places.

In my case, you USC husband first moved to me in Ireland, because I had the better job. But he had real difficulty adjusting, and so after we had the twins, we decided to move to the USA, where he was more comfortable, and where he had family (I have no family in Ireland). I still prefer Ireland, but in terms of the economy, and services for our disabled autistic son, things are better here so we will stay.

Well, of course you can't just go somewhere and say: "I'm gonna find myself a job here and live." But you can move to most countries with less problems than for example me from Bosnia.

You may prefer Ireland because you got used to it or something.

my to be fiances country has its pros and cons but the cons are extreme hardships that really dont prmote better safe living compared to the usa , usa has cons too but compared to nigeria no competition , sp with the current goverment system in nigeria and half the country still deals with corruption

Similar to Bosnia..

I replied above for USC moving. Would you choose UK over USA if you got chance?

To live the dream.

PREACH. A lot of people said to me:"Forget American dream, theres no such thing, go find job work for $300 a month in Bosnia and be satisfied." But people are STUPID! I mean, every place has it's pros and cons, but my father and his two brothers moved to USA about 15 years ago. Here, they had nothing in their childhood, they weren't even 18 when war started and they got to fight. After war, find jobs, work for just enough to buy some flour to make your own bread, beans, potatoes and thats pretty much it. Now in USA they have everything, more than some people here do that are considered "rich". And they work normal jobs!

So if you want to work and a bit of luck and brain, I think opportunities in USA are huge!

Respect for you husband!

Mrs. T-B. came because this is where I lived. She'd been here a couple of times before and had no urge to come back. Now, she can't imagine living in Ecu again.

I understand her! :D

Better opportunities. Nurses in the Philippines are paid minimum wage to absolute nothing. Actually nurses sometimes need to pay the hospital to get experience.

Pretty much same in Bosnia. I know a lot of people paying $3000 to director of the job they want to work. And they have $300 monthly pay... They hire their cousins, friends etc, and they have no experience in those jobs! Imagine this, in high school near me, there is "professor" who worked as janitor pre-war... or even worse, in same city, a DOCTOR! who bought their diploma. She finished school for middle school teacher, I think..

Yes, without a second thought in fact. But that chance won't be coming any time soon or in the near future.

That being said we both acknowledge that there is much opportunity for my husband in the US, where he will not be stifled and can put his skills to good use.

My husband (U.S.C) had been living in Africa for over 10 years and was ready to move back home and re-establish his U.S roots. We still talk about going back but recognise the value of giving our kids an American education. Maybe once they're independent adults we'll go back; I certainly like that idea, especially because we're both international development people.

My wife and I decided either country would do and she thought of selling all and moving to Morocco but the housing market went crazy and she would have lost money selling everything so we decided on the US

I was going to college in Morocco and decided to continue my education in the US if i was granted the visa.

i found an very loving wife and anything i decide, she supports giving me the opportunity and incouragement to advance my education and career.

i am looking forward to seeing the US as she wants to visit all Federal parksfrom coast to coast and show me this wonderful world.

I am amazed at how clean it all is

Opportunity and advancement along with a wonderful family (how could anyone ask for more?)

Adventure. We were settled and happy in Australia. But life is meant to be an adventure, not a heads down march through the safety zone to retirement.

I don't think America is the best country in the world, but it is the best country for us. We have loved every single minute of it, even the stuff that doesn't make sense.

We had the choice of the UK or US (husband is English). We chose the US without hesitation.
