Boyfriend's children's mother?

Hi all. So I have a complicated situation. My boyfriend, a LPR, is desperate to have his two children, ages 3 and 5, immigrate to the US from the Phillipines. For the sake of the kids, we want their mother to come as well. Does anyone know how this would he possible?

Unfortunately, that's not really possible. The children, assuming they will be USCs, could petition their mother when they come of age, but it will take many years before she can immigrate.

Actually its possible. Here are the steps.

1. Your boyfriend must marry his children's mother.

2. Your LPR boyfriend will petition them to immigrate.

PS: your boyfriend can't marry/ petition you anymore.

She cannot unless she can find a work visa to sponsor her. Will she even allow the children to come without her?

It's not possible. There's no path to the US through her children or their LPR father.

A work visa would only be possible if she was a college graduate and there was a US employer willing to go through the expense and time to get her a work visa.

Realistically, there's no avenue for the children's mother to immigrate to the US.

Work visa or her children petition her when they're older as stated above.

Why not? Sounds normal that a mother does not want to live apart from her children (aged 3 & 5).

Nothing is wrong with it. What I meant was hoping that the mother isn't using the kids to manipulate the father into finding a way to the US knowing that he is desparate for them to be with him.

I don't think that is MANIPULATION in any way at all. Fathers can live away from their children but it isn't easy for mothers.

Those are her children and she has a say in where her children get raised.

You could start by been nice to her, she might trust you with her children and don't start throwing "manipulation" word around.

That woman can either make it easy or hard for your boyfriend.
