Yep, my timeline was confusing. It's fixed now. We're having an unlicensed ceremony in London next month, and will be legally married in the States after the visa is granted.

My timeline was poorly written, so I fixed it. We are not having an "official" wedding overseas, so we will legally still be engaged.

So only a (pretend marriage for now) until back in the US, there are many things that can be shown to show the relationship, receipts, phone records, etc, for now those most important will show the actual trip and meeting. If your not covered in that area now all you can do is wait and see if they accept what you did send. Just my opinion but i would drop the (wife) referenceing until it was true.

That's generally why you can't plan like this for a K1. You don't know how/when it will work out.

Dont set yourself on this set timeline, there are no normals with this process that way you wont be disappointed. None of us want a delay, it just happens, dont make any plans you cant change.

Look around at some of the timelines, look thru your embassy (norms) they will get you somewhat close, if they should return wanting more information, that will now cause you more delay.

Yeah, I realize we're dealing with the government, so we have prepared contigency plans in the event of a major delay.

Thanks. That's exactly what I was thinking. What I don't understand is if I can supplement my petition BEFORE being asked to.

The overseas won't (and can't) be licensed, so we will legally still be engaged until after the fiance visa is granted.

Nope, you ave to wait until they request it. But follow the advice of others and have additional evidence all ready to go so if/when you get an RFE you can sent it right out.

Who knows, maybe you won't even get one.

We're all on a tight schedule, by the way. Sadly, none of us have figured out how to impress that upon the government either - so it seems their schedules always win!

I wouldn't put down deposits on anything for the US party if you're looking to incur a lot of expenses in doing so.
