1. At least you admit that black neighborhoods having more crime is a fact. Now, if you truly want to see that change, stop trying to blame the police or whites for this phenomenon. People have to accept responsibility for their own actions. The only way to better oneself is to do whatever it takes to move up and out of a bad neighborhood/situation, or to at least make a stand to make things better. But in all neighborhoods that suffer from excess crime, the one common denominator is a group of people who are uneducated and uncaring for the value of other people. I don't get how you can blame it on (whites/racism/cops) others when by your own statement, neighborhoods go to hell when "too many black folks moved in". Surely you can see that it's not the blacks causing the problem, nor the whites? It's the folks who hold no concern for the value of life or others' property.

2. If blacks were "systematically being wiped out", as you put it, then why has the black population in American done nothing but increase over time?

3. You're in Hawaii because that's where you accepted a job offer and have an employer who was willing to move you there for free. And now that you're there, you may find that you cannot afford to move back to the mainland. It's expensive to live there, for sure, but even more expensive to leave, unless you have an employer willing to pay the costs for you. No doubt, there are bad places to live, no matter your skin color. But there's a simple solution for that... Move. Find a better place. The blacks where I live don't live in fear, they are happy where they are. When I was younger and lived in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood, I was scared, a lot. And after a while, my parents listened and we moved to a better place. Not as soon as I wanted, but as soon as they could afford to do it.

And while I am happy for you that you are not experiencing as much racism in Hawaii, it is inaccurate to say that racism doesn't exist there. It does. Primarily towards whites, less towards blacks, but in the grand scheme of things, we are all Haoles in their eyes.

1. I don't know why you keep wanting to talk about this when you ignore the bulk of what's wrong. Here's a hint, racism predates police brutality. Please stop talking like black people were equals at ANY point in time here in the US and we're just tripping. Google Black wall Street, White Flight, Gentrification. I know it's easier for you to just blame black people and call it a day, but I don't have time to break it down for you if you're not going to meet me halfway.

2. http://blackdemographics.com/ We've been 13% forever, we just hit 14.5%. I know people fear of a black planet, but it's not happening.

3. Wrong again. When you serve, you get a last PCS move anywhere within the continental US. My job didn't pay for me to move, the military did. Also, if I wanted to come back(tempted to take higher paying jobs), they would pay for my move since my skill set is unique. Money isn't the reason we stay here, which is funny since I said that before. It's like you keep wanting to have this conversation with me but only if it suits your point of view. I don't mince words or short cut but you completely leave out what I say and formulate what REALLY is going on with me. You have to understand how insulting that is.

So are you saying that we shouldn't require an ID for folks to vote? If that is the case, why not? Should blacks be allowed to drive a car without a license? To get married without one? To cash a check without one? I mean, we have to have an ID for SO MANY things in our daily lives, why not to vote? Want to buy a gun? Have to have an ID. Want to buy alcohol, a house, or get a job? Gotta have an ID. What about getting on an airplane? Renting a hotel room? Renting a car? Or getting a fishing license? All of these mundane things require an ID of some sort, typically a driver's license.

Why should voting NOT require an ID? The only benefit I can see for NOT having in ID to vote is that voter fraud will remain easier for corrupt politicians.

I didn't say that, but once again, you leave out what you don't want to hear. So try addressing this first:

Before enacting that law, the legislature requested data on the use, by race, of a number of voting practices. Upon receipt of the race data, the General Assembly enacted legislation that restricted voting and registration in five different ways, all of which disproportionately affected African Americans,” Motz wrote. “Although the new provisions target African Americans with almost surgical precision, they constitute inapt remedies for the problems assertedly justifying them and, in fact, impose cures for problems that did not exist.”

Once you address this, then we can talk about everything else. You can't tell black people to get their act together while the system that is rigged against them is still in place.

Nahhhh, you get that for trying to shove the same old, same old, tired thing, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, down people's throat that don't want it down their throat. It's really that simple.

Tell ya what, I'll make it easier for you since I have already posted on this numerous times, I'd say this horse has not only been beaten to a pulp, but it's now buried, rained on, snowed on, frozen solid, thawed and now has lilies coming out of its dead ###. I mean seriously, what is it with forgetting everything about previous conversations every time and trying to get people to sit here all night, go "####### for tat" in a silly waste-of-time game. Serious question. I've posted on this here and in other places:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/593978-corbyn-finally-suspends-muslim-labour-mp-who-said-israel-should-be-relocated-to-the-us/?p=8213129

And this is just a small sample. Now add others, too, not just Jews. Black people are not special. Some of them are treated good, some of them are treated bad, just like the rest of us.

Being a Jewish man from Israel has nothing to do with it. I see myself as an American. I've spent a good 25% of my life in the US. And, I'm considered white believe it or not:

The Census Bureau defines White people as follows: "White" refers to a person having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East or North Africa. It includes people who indicated their race(s) as "White" or reported entries such as Irish, German, Italian, Lebanese, Arab, Moroccan or Caucasian.

Yes, when I, say, go to the hospital here, or anywhere else where they need to know your race, since Jewish is not a race, and I am not from Africa, or Asia, etc, but from the Middle East(and Europe), being jewish doesn't change the fact that for all intents and purposes I am considered white. But before all that, I'm just a person. A person who happens to not be black so yeah it has alot to do with me when "we" all seem to be labeled as devils with horns.

Actually Oriz, no one is shoving anything in your face. You're the one who comes into race threads specifically to tell everyone you're so sick and tired of hearing/talking about it when it's you that in here in the first place, talking about it. I remember when those shootings went down and when those cops were killed, you remember what you said? If you don't, no worries, I remember.

Looks like more blood on Obama's hands.

This is the type of scum these officers have to deal with on a daily basis. Walk a day in their shoes. If I were them I'd be taking my gloves off too.

If I had any sympathy for the victim yesterday and thought the cop was probably not only incompetent but also criminally negligent(but NOT racist), quite honestly I really don't even care what happens with that story anymore. Keep being a violent, destructive, blood thirsty, hateful, racist mob of sheeples and that's what you get I guess.

You see that? I'm glad you're not a cop. You lost sympathy for a man who had NOTHING to do with Dallas(he was dead already, don't know why you blame him), see how that works? You blamed a dead black man for cops being shot in a completely different state. But that's not racist right? Because clearly the dead guy had some fault in the shooting.

And btw, it's not that I don't take your seriously. I clicked your links, every last one of them. And correct me if I'm wrong, but what laws/practices are in place here to suppress you in any way? That was the challenge, I posted legislation that hinders black people, you posted anti-semite attacks. Comprehension is key, but I shouldn't have to explain that to a guy with an over 140 plus IQ right?

Yeah I do remember what I said(I have a very good memory, too). Lets be clear - you're not going to get away with calling me a racist. As far as your silly lil game - I don't have to post something that shows exactly the same treatment "####### for tat" as you said, just because you said so, that's just silly. Why is that? Wait I think I know the answer - must be because everyone is racist.

Oh yeah and as far as my participation in race threads goes - very minimal. I don't open them and I very rarely comment in them. I'm not the one to turn that shooting into a racial thing, the shooters did(and you, apparently by picking it as your "example"). Again, I'm my own person so I'll comment where I want when I want, this isn't the military.

Marvin, hard to quote on my phone at 35,000 feet, but as to your points 1, 2, and 3...

1. How am I ignoring the bulk of what is wrong? What I was saying is that neighborhoods with lots of crime, regardless of the predominant skin color, are full of lazy, uneducated, uncaring people. You say that as blacks move into a neighborhood, it becomes full of trash, an unsafe place to live. That the cops patrol it less, and that's why it's a bad place to be? That the demise of the locale becomes the fault of the police? Do you not see that the same thing would happen if it were predominantly Hispanic or white? Trashy people beget trashy neighborhoods. Regardless of their ethnicity.

2. Here's a freebie for you... whites multiply. Blacks multiply. ALL people multiply. That's why it stayed at 13% for so long. That it's now increasing simply means that blacks are multiplying faster. I doubt anyone "fears a black planet"; I know no one here on VJ does. So stop playing. But considering that 400 years ago the black population on this continent was nearly zero percent, I'd say your color is gaining momentum. You just won't dominate in your lifetime.

3. Didn't mean to insult you, sorry if it came across that way. I am familiar with how the government works, that's why I said what I did. Your PCS was paid for by Uncle Sugar. Which was my point; Hawaii is very expensive, both to live in and to move to or from. That's why people live under blue tarps and old vans. I turned down a job offer of $120K there last year because the move, both ways, would have been on my dime. Which I COULD have done, but I realize the expense. Plus, that $120K is equivalent to about $73K here. Briefs well on paper, but doesn't go all that far in reality. I'm well aware of the poverty and lifestyle in Hawaii. It's a beautiful place to live, but it takes its toll on a family.

No? Well, why don't you explain your rationale here? Because I might not be as smart as you are, but I can't find a single reason why you're so willing to withdraw sympathy for someone who was completely separate from the shooting from Dallas. Just asking for your rationale. You speak as if the deceased somehow orchestrated the shooting and was deserving of your condemnation.

And it wasn't a silly game. You made a declaration, I asked you for proof and led with something solid. You came back with links that had nothing to do with what I provided you. If you can't do it, be the better man and admit it. That's a much better look than this attitude it's beneath you to respond to something AFTER you made a statement that's false. And why are we loud about? Because we have laws created to hinder us. Because we're shot for having our hands up. The better question is, if Jewish people here are so persecuted(they're not) why are you so quiet about it? Is that what we should do? Be content? You're talking to the wrong one.

As far as participation goes, why would you comment in threads that you said you're sick and tired of talking about?

1. Again for the cheap seats. Those folks are hard working Americans. My mom was a teacher, dad worked for GE, my friends parents were all sorts, truck drivers, customer service, etc. Instead of painting with such a broad brush of ignorance, get to know who you're talking about. They don't start out that way. Did you google anything I said?

2. As many as the threads here deal with black people, and there is only ONE black poster here, I think quite a few people here are in fear of a black planet.

3. You can live here as long as you live within your means. 120k? Easy.

You'll find little nook and crannies if you take the time to look. Make sure you eat at Wailana's coffee house before you leave. But get there early, they draw a crowd every day.

1. I wasn't referring to the good people in a bad neighborhood. For sure not your family. But those are not the kind of blacks that move into a neighborhood and bring filth and crime, are they? Even bad neighborhoods have good people. But if the bad outweigh the good, then the good either leave or suffer the consequences.

2. Keep dreaming. You're nowhere near instilling fear in any of us.

3. Different people have different means. I know folks who live there on less than $20K. I couldn't do that. My point was to illustrate that the cost of living there is about 65% more expensive than most of the mainland.

1. No, but if the cops did their jobs, we wouldn't have as much of a problem now would we? I've seen them drive right past crack houses, watch as they don't even respond to even the most basic of crimes, and just have an all around apathy for where they work.

Oi Vey. Last post on this from me: I wasn't even talking to you, I was talking to JayJay. You decided to reply, which you often do and then it leads to week long arguments that normally end up with people getting banned. I am allowed to reply to what other posters are saying on the issue every now and again, more like every once in a blue moon with me, it is legal last time I checked. But I certainly am not the one starting those topics.

I gave you plenty of examples about racism and prejudice towards other people, not just black people. You choose to dismiss it because it doesn't fit your narrative. Because it wasn't your "pinpointed" precise example that you wanted, then apparently it doesn't count. Well, racism and prejudice come in all shapes and sizes and manifest themselves in all sorts of different ways, and it's crucial to understand that. That's the extent to which I was willing to play that silly game. Notice I am doing my best to be cordial with you, however, you are not doing the same which could explain why about 80% of the mod intervention in this place is "marv related". Anyway, while I do appreciate you pointing out my IQ yet again(for those who didn't see it the last 8 times), it's probably best to keep this off of personal levels. I can talk all day and night about how your "unique set of skills" doesn't impress me based on what I've seen from you in an online forum, but that's neither here nor there. I also find it funny that yet again you yourself mentioned several times just this week how not smart you think anybody who thinks different than you do is(While semi-cleverly labeling it under "Trump supporters") which is the exact type of post from another liberal I replied to many months ago(maybe a year or more?), briefly mentioning that there could actually be smart people on the other end(just as I don't think all libs are stupid), and you now do my work for me by bringing it up like twice a month. If you don't want to hear about other people's intelligence don't treat others like they are stupid. Seems to be what libs love doing is to say something bad or offensive about someone or a group of people or about their intelligence and expect them to not respond, but if they do respond, they'll bring it up constantly ater that for infinity, as if there was something wrong with it, in an attempt to shut people up and make them not respond. This tactic is as old as dinosaurs, doesn't really work in the real world though, and usually says alot more about the people doing it than the people they're doing it to.
Like I said, the horse from this conversation is already growing all kinds of stuff under the ground so there's really no point in continuing this.
We also already had the discussion about the different approaches on changing people's views and bias and the difference between what you and groups like BLM do and what Jewish people do to change perceptions, so there's no point in going into that again. I go through life every day without thinking even for a second, that somebody hates me or whatever because I'm Jewish or because I'm from Israel, rest assured not because it doesn't happen, but because I don't believe in it as a way of life. Hey look I will leave you with this though, and then I'm bowing out of this thread for the time being; going through the rest of your life thinking that everyone hates you because of your skin color, and that you are always discriminated against, or that anybody who votes different than you or thinks different than you is either stupid or racist - it's ultimately your choice to make. But if you ask me - that's no way to live.
