I think it's pathetic that people knowingly cross the line on the TOS and then continue to keep on doing so repeatedly without a care despite how many times they've gotten themselves in trouble.

But since you don't care enough to look at the post in question but care enough to reply to this thread: the gist is there was a post left in a thread for a while. The post was pretty wrong, but I guess there's some on this forum that get a case of the giggles whenever they say stuff like it.

At any rate what we should be asking is, was the offending post reported by anyone? If no, then why not? And if yes, why'd it take so long? Action was finally taken on the post, and I suspect some well-meaning persons got banned because they responded/and or quoted the offending material.

That's bc they're trying to weed out the respectable posters on the site. Once you get rid of them, it becomes what they want it to be. STL.

I've never had a real problem posters or moderators on VJ. Sure, I've had an issue from time to time. But, I'm mature enough to discuss things privately & not make a spectacle. People should try it sometime.

So, for example, how do you respond to someone calling your significant other something from the planet of the apes? And when it's reported they hide the thread instead of suspending the member and let the member continue to taunt and torment you. Let's use this as an example. So you quote the comment as something actually said on vj and remove the name of the member who said. Now keep in mind, there was another member who was also quoting something in his signature block as something also said on vj and he twisted the quote and was allowed to stay and keep his quote while the victim was suspended.

I'd call that rape by the offender and the system.....

Only approach is to not participate. If you change the topic, you get banned. If you call it out, you get warned/banned. If you make fun of the poster, you get banned.
