Woke up this morning to see that the status for my I-765 has changed to "New Card Is Being Produced". So happy! I wasn't expecting this for another 2 weeks.

Hi Simon,

Quick question regarding the 'last action taken on case' box... is that the date they received my case (June) or the date they did a 'soft' touch (August)?

I'm on day 75 and figured I'll go ahead and do the SR today so they can start working on it first thing Monday morning ?

Oops, I meant July!! The 'soft' touch was in July.

I think those that are adjusting with K1 Visas are getting approved faster than any other categories. Some with even no interviews needed. My wife overstayed by 2 years. I know the overstay doesn't affect the decision but I feel like it might. So she's just frustrated ATM. And paranoid I might add

The speed of approvals have more to do with the field offices than the kind of visa or statuses of people. Because k1 adjustment applicants already had extensive background checks and interview process, some might not get an interview. But some wait for their field offices to set interviews. Overstays for us citizens spouses are forgiven, so it doesn't affect your wife.

It's been two months, right? It's still too soon to be worried.

Yes. It's been exactly 60 days from the time they recieved the application. I don't know if we can ask to expedite the EAD or just wait. We didn't even apply for an AP she wants to go to school but doesn't wanna get a denial after paying tuition.... Its just too much for us at the moment.

Just to let everyone know that I just received my EAD in the mail. Just a bit of information that I noticed. My online status has been stucked on Card mailed to you for 3 days now and I see other people getting updates such as USPS picked up your card and card has been delivered.

No two cases are similar because I was not expecting it today since I never got those updates, so for the persons who have already received their approval letter in the mail and your USCIS status says card has been mail you should be receiving it any time soon. Also I only just received my approval letter yesterday in the mail.

expediting the ead is an option if she had a job offer, just give uscis a call. She can still apply for Ap, if she wishes.

Things are moving fast for June filers, so probably in the next few weeks you'll be able to see real progress. Just hang in there

Congratulations everyone! Hearing everyone's good news makes me hopeful that I'll hear something soon as well.

For everyone who is still waiting for things.

If he wants it, he can ask for a new one, but it's not needed
