After looking At some timelines, VJ seems to be calculating the approved of EAD from the files date people entered. I am counting from my receipt date... I thought we count from received date in our notices.. Sorry I am just planning ahead to see what our next step should be if we do SR. My husband has missed many job offers bc no permit ?

Yesterday I called USCIS and they told me that they start counting from the received date in the notice.

Mine is June 9, so today I am @ 75 days

Hi there,

USCIS have just been slow at initially putting cases online the past few months.

You're welcome to phone up USCIS' National Customer Service Centre if you want to ask them what the latest status is on your case. You'll talk to a Tier 1 representative at first who will only be able to see what you can see about your case (i.e. nothing). However, you can ask to be transferred to a Tier 2 representative who has access to another internal computer system that they can look your case up on. Tier 1 agent will either put you on hold, or will take your details for a call back (it is best to call them early on in the day to avoid having to wait a few days for a callback).

Obviously, there is no need to do this as your case will be fine otherwise. However, I thought I'd suggest it as I made that call and was reassured by the Tier 2 agent that my case was received, etc.

Just a heads up, you should call and tell them that you can't access your cases on-line. I was told when I called that in Order to be able to place SR your cases need to work on-line. So call them that your cases dont work so they can fix that.

Thank you for your help @ Miki28 & SimonSchus I called last week and I was transferred to a Tier 2 agent but he said I just have to wait.. due to an update of their system, he said that this 'update' can take up to September But it's a good idea to call to see if they can give me more information about my case, especially because something went wrong with my biometrics letter in July.

As an update, my EAD/AP was approved on Friday and has read "Case was approved" on both cases. About 20 minutes ago, the status for my EAD updated to "Card was mailed to me" (for those looking back at this post, today is a Wednesday). Consequently, it took 5 days for the card to be mailed out to me (I'm unsure if the weekend affected this or not).

As of yet, the MyUSPS Dashboard has not been updated with the tracking number for the EAD card package but hopefully the tracking number will pop up overnight tonight otherwise I'll call USCIS tomorrow and ask. If you don't know what the MyUSPS Dashboard is then I've including the link above - it basically is an online service that let you see what USPS tracked packages are heading towards your address. Easy to set up (though I had to set it up in my wife's name as I don't have much identity history in the US for the USPS to verify for my identity!).

When I got my EAD status update, it came with the USPS tracking number. Yours didn't have it?

I just did a SR, text the wife to inform her and got an OK lovey....so I am good whew!

Nope, not yet. MyUSCIS reads the following:

On August 24, 2016, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number MSC*, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by September 23, 2016, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Based on previous and recent posts (e.g. here and here), I am under the impression that some people don't get USPS tracking numbers from USCIS straight away. I presume that this might be due to:

- the case tracker system updating slowly.

- the card not having been picked up by USPS (e.g. the differences between "Card was mailed to me" and "Card was picked up by the United States Postal Service"). Perhaps I'll get the tracking number from MyUSCIS after the USPS picks it up, and at the same time it'll likely come up on the USPS Dashboard too.

- the card being sent out using a different mailing product based on distance from the National Benefits Centre (I highly doubt that this is the case though).

I'm not concerned at this stage I'm fairly adamant that is it the second reason

I got my "Card was mailed today notification" today 6 hours ago. I just checked MyUSPS for which I signed in today. I already have my tracking number!! No delivery date established but now I can see where my card is

I'm sure you will be able to track yours soon!!!

Hi everyone! Unfortunately, we received an email that we got an RFIE on Aug 10th. It is now Aug 24th and we still haven't received our hard copy in the mail. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to arrive? I've looked at a lot of timelines and it seems like most people would've gotten theirs by now.

I'm pretty sure I know what the RFIE is about, I'm just annoyed I can't mail anything in until I know for sure. I know I'm probably being impatient, but any advice would be appreciated!

We received our RFIE letter about 9 days after the text/email.

If you have an idea what it is about you can try to prepare as much as you can before the letter gets there. That's what we did and it did help and save time once we got the letter.

Other than that you cannot do anything, I called about it but all you can do is wait for the letter. It should be there any day now, and if not it should say in the text/email when you can call about it and ask for a copy. Good luck!

I just got a text message saying that "MY CASE WAS APPROVED" on Aug 24, 2016. So happy to get my GC !!!!!!!! And the best of it was without interview!!!!!!! It only took 63 days!!!!!! I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!
