Hey. Has anyone tried to call USCIS today? Everytime I try and get thru all the options it tells me I need to call back Monday-Friday 8am-6pm ?!

Thanks so much for this...just in case anyone else has the same issue I did (wrong version for this) please download the new form from USCIS with the Version Update code for 07/02/2015. I got a RFIE as I used an old form. Off to the post office with a newly killed tree to submit again and fingers crossed its all good.

You're absolutely right. Always check in the uscis.gov website before sending out forms, in case the one you filled is out of date.

I have tried that at least 5 times and it's telling me to call back Monday thru Friday 8am-6pm ... I tried that and I tried million times military line. Nothing works.

It is a long shot but Is your cell phone number from a different time zone than you are in? I.e. Are you on the east coast (e.g. 9am) but phoning from a cell phone with an west coast number? E.g. 6am?). If so I think USCIS picks up and does the opening times based on your cell phone area code rather than your actual location.

And that explains a lot. I didn't know that is how they do it. I recently changed Number from MI to HI .. Thank you. ❤️ I am in TN but since my husband is from Hawaii when I changed my Number they offered same area code. I thought it was based on where you are calling from and not the area code.

You can use Skype to bypass. If you have a smartphone, download the app and call the USCIS from the app. That is what I do when I want to phone at 5pm on the West Coast with my East coast number (8pm). The equivalent ahould work if you wanted to call them on East coast timezone (e.g. 8am) but you have a West coast number (e.g. 5am). It took me a while to figure that out haha

I was looking at Case tracker for case number 200 before mine and I noticed that they are approving I765 for case received on June 6th...but there are still several case received on May 24th with no approval .....that means that they are not going in chronological order.....

I am on day 74.....waiting is terrible.....tomorrow I am going to call and ask for a SR.

Yea, I noticed that this past Friday when they did some on June 3rd and I am on June 1st - they are skipping all over the place. At first I thought it might be an even odd thing or skip one do the next but no pattern fits...lol!

Not yet, the wife and I just decided to wait it out and not cause further issues calling them and having someone over there do something goofy with our cases, the less they touch it the less they have a chance to mess it up, if push comes to shove and we do not get it within the 90 day time frame, then we will do a SR...but until then, we are hoping to get it earlier.

Finally managed to call USCIS (now I know, I have to follow time in Hawaii instead of TN, haha) .. I managed to submit SR for I-131 + I-765 since today marks 76 since receiving date. We also submit another request because our Local Office cancelled our interview at our request however we never asked for cancelation. We were told over the phone to write them letter with explanation as of why my husband can't attend the interview and asked them how to proceed instead they canceled interview. So will see what happens next.

Hopefully this week will be full of approvals and good news!
